KAOS stars take us behind the scenes on Netflix’s mythological dark comedy

As a seasoned cinemagoer with a penchant for mythology and a soft spot for Jeff Goldblum, I must say that KAOS, set to premiere on Netflix this August 29th, has piqued my interest significantly. The blend of ancient Greek gods in a contemporary setting with a modern twist is an intriguing proposition indeed.

“In Netflix’s series KAOS, as Jeff Goldblum, portraying Zeus, puts it at the start of this two-minute excerpt, it presents a unique take on deities, offering a fresh perspective that diverges from traditional stories about gods.”

Janet McTeer, portraying Hera, characterizes the series as a fresh interpretation of Greek mythology with a contemporary twist. In turn, Dionysus actor Nabhaan Rizwan highlights: “It showcases both the unruly aspect and the tender, vulnerable side.”

The video also includes a few brief clips from the series, including one which sees Goldblum’s Zeus firing a rifle and another in which he tells Dionysus: “We need to make destruction really, really sing.”

Afterward, Goldblum’s character is referred to as “something like the leader,” and a brief overview of the show’s events follows. Here, he receives a prophecy that consumes him as he becomes increasingly anxious about potential chaos unfolding.

The clip also sees the cast talking about the “stunning” visuals, while there is input from cast members Rakie Ayola, Leila Farzad and David Thewlis.

Goldblum states at the conclusion of the video, “A line emerges, structure weakens, a household crumbles, and disorder takes over.” In simpler terms, are you understanding me?

As a passionate movie enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that “KAOS,” a new series penned by Charlie Covell, who’s known for his exceptional work on “The End of the F***ing World,” is set to debut on Netflix this coming Thursday, August 29th. The captivating cast includes Billie Piper, Eddie Izzard, Cliff Curtis, and several other talented individuals. Can’t wait to delve into this intriguing world!

“Zeus, the ruler of all gods, had never faced any serious challenges to his rule. However, that changes when he wakes up one day and notices an unexpected wrinkle on his forehead.”

“As he interprets it as a sign of an old prophecy predicting his downfall, Zeus develops a deep sense of unease: He becomes certain that his end is near. With growing suspicion, the king of gods begins to perceive threats everywhere, leading him to self-destruct in dangerous ways.”

“And he’s right to be worried. Zeus’s one time friend and now prisoner, Prometheus, is orchestrating a plan to bring him down. The plan involves three disparate humans, all of whom are totally unaware of their cosmic significance or the part they must play in saving the world. No pressure. (Some pressure.)”

KAOS also features on the cover of the latest issue of TopMob magazine, which is on sale now.
