As a die-hard Castlevania fan who has spent countless hours battling Dracula across various consoles and handheld devices, I can confidently say that the release of Castlevania Dominus Collection is music to my ears! The Nintendo DS trilogy has always been a beloved chapter in the series’ history, and now having them all conveniently bundled together on modern platforms is a dream come true.
Despite the prolonged anticipation for a fresh Metroidvania-style Castlevania series, fans can at least look forward to playing the Castlevania Advance Collection in 2021 on modern platforms, which includes the series’ Game Boy Advance games. Now, Konami has followed suit by porting over the franchise’s Nintendo DS entries.
During the latest Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, Konami revealed the “Castlevania Dominus Collection,” a compilation of three Castlevania games originally released for the Nintendo DS: “Dawn of Sorrow,” “Portrait of Ruin,” and “Order of Ecclesia.” This collection boasts new artwork, as well as enhanced features such as rewind, quick save options, and more for improved gameplay.
Additionally, in the Castlevania Dominus Collection on Nintendo DS, you’ll find an extra game called Haunted Castle Revisited. This game is essentially a revamped adaptation of the initial arcade version of Castlevania.
Today, you can get your hands on the Castlevania Dominus Collection on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC platforms. The price is set at $24.99.
