Bristol Palin Says DWTS’ Maksim Chmerkovskiy "Hated" Her During Show

As a die-hard fan who has followed Bristol Palin’s journey since her days on Dancing with the Stars, I can’t help but be captivated by her latest revelations about her experiences on the show. It seems that the dynamic between Bristol and Maks Chmerkovskiy was not as harmonious as it appeared to us viewers. From Bristol’s account, Maks seemed to have rolled his eyes at every turn, perhaps because they just kept going through each week.

Bristol Palin feels that she and Maksim Chmerkovskiy didn’t always see eye-to-eye while working together as co-stars.

During her time as a celebrity competitor on “Dancing with the Stars” season 11, the former participant asserted that Maksim Chmerkovskiy, a well-known professional dancer on the show, didn’t hold her in high regard. She even suggested that he often displayed a disapproving gesture by rolling his eyes whenever she and dance partner Mark Ballas advanced to the following week.

Bristol shared with retired Dancing with the Stars dance professional Cheryl Burke on her podcast Sex, Lies, and Spray Tans that Maks disliked her intensely, likely due to their frequent interactions.

The 33-year-old, who had a reputation for low scoring during his time on the series, stated, “He was very friendly initially, but it felt like one of those situations where, as things progressed, I found myself thinking, ‘Ugh, really?'”

With Mark as her partner, Bristol Palin (daughter of Sarah and Todd Palin) advanced to the final round of the dance competition. Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough won first place, while Kyle Massey and Lacey Schwimmer came in second. Maks Chmerkovskiy and his partner Brandy placed fourth, just behind Bristol and Mark who took third place.

TopMob News reached out to Maks’ rep for comment but has not heard back.

Although Bristol and Maks struggled to connect, the former Teen Mom OG star asserts that she and Mark were ideally suited for one another.

She mentioned, “I’m incredibly shy by nature,” she explained. “I was truly grateful to have Mark as my partner, given his kindness. I hold a deep sense of appreciation.”

Speaking about her initial impression of her partner from the 2015 season of Dancing with the Stars, which they were eliminated during week four, Bristol commented, “He was extremely outgoing and kind-hearted. He’s just delightful. I did find him shorter than I had anticipated, but I’m tall.”

When the show became tense, and doubts about her outfits arose, she observed that Mark remained by her side.

“He was like a very good partner,” Bristol added. “He was always very supportive.”

Despite the fact that her stint on Dancing with the Stars involved just as many setbacks (dips) as triumphs (leaps), Bristol has no regrets about the experience.

Regarding her time on the show, she mused, “I learned that I can break free from my usual reserved self and become more socially active. It’s about stepping forward boldly.”
