In an interview prior to the August 30th cinema debut of “Slingshot,” director Mikael H?fstr?m reminisced about his experience collaborating with acting greats such as Laurence Fishburne, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Sylvester Stallone. During their conversation, he fondly remembered the amicable demeanor of Schwarzenegger and Stallone on the set of “Escape Plan.”
“He described them as being much like children at a summer camp, full of excitement and kindness. Upon arriving on set, they asked eagerly, ‘What’s our plan for today? Where should we be?’ They both seemed to compete in showing their friendliness.”
Hfström remarked, “I wasn’t merely being polite or praising everything as wonderful. Making a movie is tough work. However, it was an incredibly enjoyable experience working with those two gentlemen. They were nothing short of professional and demonstrated immense respect for the production process.”
What is Slingshot about?
A psychological thriller featuring Casey Affleck and Laurence Fishburne, Slingshot revolves around a select group of astronauts embarking on an extended, potentially flawed voyage to Saturn’s moon Titan. As the crew prepares for a perilous slingshot maneuver that could either propel them towards Titan or into the vastness of space, one astronaut finds it progressively challenging to hold onto his sanity.
Under the direction of Mikael Håfström, the film titled “Slingshot” features Casey Affleck, Laurence Fishburne, Emily Beecham, Tomer Capon, and David Morrissey. The movie is set to debut in cinemas on August 30th.
