Nosferatu: Gruesome New Look at Lily-Rose Depp Released

As a die-hard horror fan who has spent countless nights huddled under blankets during movie marathons, I can hardly contain my excitement for Robert Eggers’ “Nosferatu” reboot! The latest glimpse of Lily-Rose Depp as Ellen Hutter, with her weeping blood-streaked visage, only serves to heighten the anticipation.

In four months, Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu will hit theaters, and we’re now treated to a chilling sneak peek of Lily-Rose Depp in the eagerly awaited horror remake. On social media, an eerie new picture was posted, showing Depp as Ellen Hutter with blood streaming from her mouth and eyes, suggesting she’s been crying tears of blood. The caption reads “HE IS COMING,” and you can view it below.

What is Nosferatu About?

The movie “Nosferatu” is a modern adaptation of the 1922 silent film with the same title. It weaves a chilling story about an enigmatic young woman’s fascination with a terrifying vampire who has taken an unhealthy interest in her, leaving chaos and terror in its path. Alongside Johnny Depp, this film features Bill Skarsgård, Nicholas Hoult, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Emma Corrin, Ralph Ineson, and Simon McBurney.

In his previous statements, Eggers described the movie as a terrifying film, specifically categorizing it as a horror movie with Gothic undertones. He believes that, unlike recent films in this genre, this particular production manages to instill genuine fear. Moreover, he anticipates that most viewers will agree with him on this point.

I expressed, “This tale feels more like Ellen’s personal journey compared to earlier portrayals… Lily-Rose delivers an extraordinary performance!”

Additionally, Eggers has expressed great admiration for Skarsgard’s performance in the movie, where he portrays the centuries-old Transylvanian vampire that haunts Depp’s character.

“Eggers expressed that Skarsgard’s performance has been so profoundly altered, there’s a chance he won’t receive the recognition he deserves due to his absence in the spotlight. ‘He chose to pay homage to those who came before him,’ Eggers explained. ‘The changes are subtle… However, I believe his portrayal makes Count Dracula feel more like a traditional vampire. To me, he appears as a deceased Transylvanian nobleman, presenting an image of the undead aristocrat we’ve never seen before in any depiction.'”

Skarsg?rd Has Previously Teased His “Gross” Take on the Character

According to Skarsgard, his portrayal of the character is “unappealing,” but it delves into sexual themes. The monster’s power and allure are explored through a sexual fetish, aiming to pique your interest while also making you feel repulsed by that attraction.

He added, “I do not think people are gonna recognize me in it.”

Nosferatu hits theaters on December 25th.
