As a long-time fan of British humor and a connoisseur of Taskmaster, I can hardly contain my excitement for the return of this delightfully chaotic series! Having spent countless hours binge-watching the antics of past contestants like Katherine Ryan, Rose Matafeo, and Sarah Kendall, I’ve come to appreciate the unique blend of absurdity, wit, and camaraderie that Taskmaster offers.
Taskmaster season 18 will officially debut on Channel 4, bringing back this cherished comedy show that fans have been eagerly waiting for.
Correct! Starting this coming Thursday, the 12th of September, at 9 PM, you’ll find Alex Horne and Greg Davies gracing your screens once more. And guess what? We already have a clue about their next victims!
Season 17 came to a close earlier this year, with John Robins crowned as the winner.
The line-up for season 18 was confirmed shortly after, and includes eclectic mix of talent.
Andy Zaltzman, Babatunde Aléshé, Emma Sidi, Jack Dee, and Rosie Jones are the individuals who host The News Quiz, appear on I’m a Celebrity and Celebrity Gogglebox, star in Starstruck and Ghosts, do stand-up comedy, and create comedy content, respectively.
Despite not appearing on the Taskmaster stage yet, Horne has suggested that a well-known international figure may feature in the upcoming season of the show.

As a film enthusiast, I must admit that the international lineup of comedians hailing from this show, including Katherine Ryan, Rose Matafeo, Sarah Kendall, Desiree Burch, Mae Martin, and Sam Campbell, has certainly piqued my curiosity. It’s intriguing to think about what they bring to the table, given that they aren’t from the UK!
