As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I’ve learned to dance around the question of when a game will grace my beloved PC. The industry’s dance card has been as erratic as a jitterbug on caffeine, leaving us eager players in a state of perpetual suspense.
It’s been confirmed that Sony will release its live service games on both consoles and PC at the same time, but for single-player games, it’s less certain. The timing of a single-player PlayStation game’s arrival on PC has historically varied greatly from title to title. So, when considering the upcoming platformer Astro Bot, what can we anticipate in terms of a potential PC release?
In a recent conversation with MinnMax, Nicolas Doucet, head of Team Asobi studio and creative director, provided an answer that, true to form, did not offer a definitive response, but rather hinted at potential possibilities for the future.
He expressed that they are open to feedback, stating, “Yes, indeed, we’d love to hear from you.” This was in response to queries about PlayStation fans wanting to experience Astro Bot on their preferred gaming platform.
In a subsequent part of the interview, Doucet reiterated previous comments and emphasized that there’s absolutely no possibility of Astro Bot receiving PS VR2 support in the future as the game was developed specifically for a distinct platform from its inception.
Astro Bot launches on September 6 for PS5.
