The much-anticipated second season of our sci-fi/fantasy thriller series is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on October 18, 2024. This marks a near-precise two-year wait since the first season’s release.
In the upcoming season, Jessica Raine, Peter Capaldi, Nikesh Patel, Phil Dunster, and Meera Syal will once again take on their characters from the initial series. Additionally, Saffron Hocking is set to debut with an entirely fresh role.
As a movie enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share some insights on the upcoming season of “The Devil’s Hour.” In this chilling sequel, my character Lucy (Raine) and the enigmatic Gideon (Capaldi) join forces in an unsteady partnership. Our shared goal: to avert a haunting recurrence and track down a slippery beast that has eluded us so far. Buckle up for more suspense, mystery, and heart-stopping moments!
The summary goes on to say: “Lucy’s dual existence places her in a challenging position as she grapples with loyalty towards her family and obligations, when her former police officer husband, DI Ravi Dhillon (played by Patel), becomes a threat from her past.”
In the course of Dhillon’s probe, Detective Sergeant Sam Boyd (previously under Hocking), who had DI Lucy Chambers as a mentor earlier in his career, is lending a helping hand.
In the meantime, Isaac (Benjamin Chivers) finds himself experiencing fresh feelings daily and grappling to maintain equilibrium in a world that denies his very presence.
New puzzles unravel as our narratives intersect at a pivotal instant, an event that will shape the destinies of our characters throughout countless recurrences in their lives.
For the upcoming five-episode second season, we have some familiar faces joining us again: Chivers, Alex Ferns, Barbara Marten, Thomas Dominique, and Rhiannon Harper-Rafferty.
In season 2, we get our initial glimpses of Capaldi, Raine, Patel, Dunster, and Hocking appearing in the respective episodes through the images shown.
