As a seasoned gamer and anime enthusiast with over two decades of experience under my belt, I must admit that the collaboration between Jujutsu Kaisen and Universal Studios Japan has truly left me spellbound! Growing up in the era of VHS tapes and arcade games, I never would have imagined seeing my beloved manga worlds come to life in such a tangible way.
The popular anime series Jujutsu Kaisen has been generating a lot of buzz lately as it prepares for its climactic conclusion. With the final chapter slated for release this fall, main character Yuji Itadori is finding himself in a tough spot during his crucial fight that will wrap up the story of Jujutsu Tech. Although there’s no talk yet about Jujutsu Kaisen getting a live-action adaptation like other hit shonen series such as One Piece and Dragon Ball, Yuji and company have managed to step into our world thanks to Universal Studios Japan. In a new fan video, the extensive collection of merchandise inspired by the anime can be seen prominently on display.
In contrast to Universal Studios across North America, which often centers around fictional characters like Harry Potter, The Simpsons, and The Transformers, Universal Studios Japan has a unique emphasis on anime-related attractions throughout its history. It has previously developed rides and events featuring popular franchises such as Sailor Moon, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Hunter x Hunter, Attack on Titan, and numerous others. The partnership between Jujutsu Kaisen and Universal Studios Japan commenced in 2022, providing visitors with exclusive merchandise that highlights the cursed characters from the series.
Jujutsu Kaisen is Universal
Among the standout Jujutsu Kaisen merchandise is the “Popcorn Bucket” modeled after the character Satoru Gojo, a fan favorite from the popular anime and manga series. Due to the character’s growing popularity, this merchandise has been quite sought-after. However, it’s disappointing for Jujutsu Kaisen fans as the second season of the anime and the final arc in the manga have presented challenges for Satoru.

The manga version of “Jujutsu Kaisen” is expected to conclude this year, but there’s no word yet on when the third season of its anime counterpart will air. After the harrowing and dismal events of the Shibuya Incident Arc, the world in the anime feels much darker for Yuji Itadori and his surviving comrades from season two. Studio MAPPA has announced that they will revisit Jujutsu Tech, but fans may have to wait several years before seeing the anime adaptation back on television screens again.
Curious about how the tale of Jujutsu Tech unfolds? Keep up-to-date with Team Anime at ComicBook for the most recent news on these anime sorcerers and their fearsome adversaries.
