I’m the one helping out with the investigation into the stabbing of a teenage victim, which unfolded in Season 3. The dedicated detective sergeant handling that case is none other than Sarah Collins.
Whelan stated, “Indeed, it’s well-known that her sense of right and wrong is strong, though it may have been slightly disrupted this season, nonetheless, her moral guidance remains quite clear.”
“She’s consistently sticking to the rulebook in her policing, but this season, I find that it’s causing some doubt due to the personal nature of this case with the child. Typically, she can make a significant impact because she adheres strictly to police procedures and things usually work out when you follow the rules; however, this time, it’s an unruly situation.”
“She’s shown a mirror this season and for the first time, Sarah can’t fix it.”
Have I encountered Gemma Whelan in any previous productions? Yes, she played Yara Greyjoy in the hit HBO series Game of Thrones. Tahirah Sharif plays Lizzie Adama
Who is Lizzie Adama? She started as a rookie police officer in season 1, but has since climbed the ranks and is now a detective constable. Balancing her new role as a mother, she encounters Collins again in season 3.

Emmett J Scanlan plays Kieran Shaw
What is the identity of Kieran Shaw? He is a detective inspector leading Operation Perseus, a covert police unit established to dismantle South London’s notorious drug lord, Shakiel Oliver. Previously, he was involved in an affair with Lizzie during the last season.
