Kathryn Hahn Teases Musical Aspect of Agatha All Along: "Things Come Out With Melodies"

As a seasoned gamer and Marvel enthusiast with over two decades of entertainment under my belt, I must say that the upcoming Disney+ series, “Agatha All Along“, has piqued my interest like never before! The blend of comedy, music, and the magical world of WandaVision is a potent cocktail that I can’t resist.

In the highly anticipated Disney+ series WandaVision spinoff, titled Agatha All Along, viewers will join Agatha Harkness and her fellow witches on their journey along The Witches Road next month. What sets this series apart is its unique use of music, as confirmed by star Kathryn Hahn in an interview with Rolling Stone. Not only did the show recruit Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez to compose tunes for the show, but there will indeed be singing scenes. However, Hahn remains tight-lipped about who exactly sings, and how frequently these musical moments occur.

During the interview, Hahn shared her aspirations for showrunner Jac Schaefer in the Agatha All Along series. While she aimed to maintain Agatha’s sharp, snarky personality, she also wanted to uphold the campy atmosphere and preserve the artistic aspects such as music that were characteristic of WandaVision.

In Hahn’s words, “Our goals were the same. I hoped [Agatha] wouldn’t lose her sharp, biting personality. I was curious to discover what lay beneath her odd, tough, unfriendly exterior. Moreover, I desired there to be music and maintain the campiness. All the costume changes, all the aspects that I admired about WandaVision, such as the performance element in her – she truly is a fantastic old-school actress who enjoys putting on a show. I wanted this aspect of her character to continue.”

In response to whether the show Agatha All Along features singing, Hahn affirmed: “Absolutely. Characters open their mouths and produce tunes. I can’t disclose the number of times or the specific individuals involved, though.”

Hahn Has Already Sang A Recap of the Entire Marvel Cinematic Universe

Indeed, Hahn boasts some prior involvement in singing, as well as a familiarity with the Marvel Cinematic Universe – not referring to the popular “Agatha All Along” tune from WandaVision penned by Anderson-Lopez and Lopez, which was sung by Hahn, Lopez, Eric Bradley, Greg Whipple, Jasper Randall, and Gerald White in the seventh episode of that series. In fact, earlier this year on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Hahn offered a comical song to keep fans updated about the MCU without necessitating a deep dive into every Marvel movie or TV show before “Agatha All Along” premieres.
