Kin star says there’s “a lot” of interest in resurrecting it for season 3

As a seasoned movie buff with a penchant for gritty Dublin-based dramas, I can wholeheartedly say that Kin has left an indelible mark on my television screen and my heart. The twist-filled narrative, coupled with the raw performances of its talented cast, has made it a standout series in the genre. Emmett J Scanlan’s candid insights into his experience with the show are both enlightening and endearing.

Kin spoilers ahead.

Supporters of the Dublin-based gangland series “Kin” remain hopeful for updates about its continuation after the surprising ending of season 2, where Frank Kinsella fatally shot his father Bren and subsequently took his own life.

As a dedicated cinephile, I find myself eagerly awaiting updates on my favorite productions, yet one of its stars has opted to “keep an optimistic outlook” amid the bankruptcy of the production company, Bron Studios.

Emmett J Scanlan stated, “Many individuals express interest in purchasing it, which leads me to think so. However, determining who will make the purchase and where it will ultimately end up, I am completely clueless.”

I strive to maintain a positive outlook whenever I can. The program truly resonates with me, and I feel honored to have been involved in its creation. If by chance we’re given another season for a third time, and I understand the viewership on BBC iPlayer was astounding – I would jump at the opportunity without hesitation!

“I’ll arrive much quicker than a single heartbeat, and I’m confident that everyone else will do the same.”

“He mentioned that he had flown back home [to Ireland], truthfully unaware of the events that were about to unfold,” he stated.

On the eve of the final event, our family stepped out for some beverages, and everyone was exhilarated with anticipation about the upcoming events.

Everyone was brainstorming ideas about it, but none of them managed to hit the mark, which left me thrilled and made me believe that our conclusion was truly extraordinary.

After that, I joined my parents and spouse to watch it. As the closing credits appeared, I felt a mix of astonishment and relief at the skillful way it had been handled.

Scanlan went on to describe the huge response to the show as “humbling”.

“He stated that when Season 1 was launched, the reaction on social media and the number of people reaching out was incredibly high and passionate.”

People eagerly anticipated the arrival of season 2; they hunted for a streaming platform or even an unofficial device where they could view it.

“And then the BBC dropped it and the response from that has been nothing short of remarkable.

“It’s been quite humbling, actually.”
