Wednesday's Jenna Ortega Addresses Beetlejuice Costar Winona Ryder Having Season 2 Cameo

As a fan who’s been following Jenna Ortega‘s career since her early days in Stuck in the Middle, it’s always a thrill to see her take on such iconic roles. The prospect of seeing Winona Ryder in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice and Wednesday was like the sweetest candy for my horror-loving heart. However, it seems that our beloved Lydia Deetz might not make an appearance in Season 2 of Wednesday, as Ryder’s schedule is busier than a one-armed man at a jack-in-the-box factory. But hey, who needs a crystal ball to predict the future? I have faith that these two talented actresses will cross paths again someday, maybe even in a project where they both play twin sisters who can’t stand each other… and are also ghosts! Now, if only I could get Tim Burton to direct it, we’d be cooking with gas!

Jenna Ortega, the actor, has maintained her penchant for roles in eerie productions with the impending “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice”, and since she portrays Lydia Deetz’s daughter in this film, some enthusiasts anticipate further partnerships. However, despite Ortega’s delight working with Ryder, it seems unlikely that Ryder could make a cameo in the upcoming Season 2 of “Wednesday” due to her numerous acting commitments. Despite their separation in “Wednesday” Season 2, Ortega is optimistic about future collaborations between them. The “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” will be released on September 6th, and production for “Wednesday” Season 2 is ongoing.

Ortega told GamesRadar, “That idea sounds great, but she’s swamped. Finding time for us to meet up and do this is a challenge, let me tell you. But in a tricky situation like this, it’s not impossible. If it can’t be on Wednesday, then maybe it’ll happen on another project, I sure hope so.” He also expressed his desire to collaborate with Winona Ryder again.

She added, “We talk about it all the time, and that would be really sweet for me.”

It’s plausible that Ryder might appear in “Beetlejuice” due to her ongoing connection with Netflix through “Stranger Things.” Furthermore, the series “Wednesday” is created by Tim Burton, who has previously worked with Ryder on both the original “Beetlejuice” and the upcoming sequel, as well as their collaboration in “Edward Scissorhands.” This connection increases the likelihood of her involvement in the project.

The inaugural season of “Wednesday” turned out to be a massive triumph on Netflix, and although Ortega was already gaining recognition as an emerging talent, her portrayal significantly boosted her skillset recognition. Despite this success, Ortega has admitted feeling apprehensive about reprising the role for Season 2.

Ortega shared that he felt a bit anxious since it had been quite some time, roughly three years, since they filmed the first one on a Wednesday in Romania. He confessed his thoughts were racing, but once he donned Colleen Atwood’s costumes and underwent hair and makeup, he regained his composure, realizing, “Ah, I remember now, this is how I do it.”

Keep an eye out for announcements about Season 2 of “Wednesday”. The movie “Beetlejuice” will hit the cinemas on September 6th.
