As a die-hard fan of both horror movies and the twisted antics of Chucky, I can’t help but feel a rush of nostalgia upon seeing the new Charred Chucky skin in Dead by Daylight. Growing up with the Child’s Play series was an integral part of my childhood, and the addition of this iconic character to one of my favorite games is nothing short of a dream come true.
This week, game developer Behaviour Interactive is kicking off the creepy season a bit ahead of schedule in “Dead by Daylight” with fresh Chucky content. Alongside the standard appearance of the Child’s Play villain, fans can now acquire the Back From the Dead variant and the Bride of Chucky outfit for their collection. To top it all off, there’s a new Charred Chucky skin on offer, which references the Chucky TV series. You can grab this unique skin in “Dead by Daylight’s” in-game store right now!
Below, you can find the image of Chucky from Dead by Daylight, which was recently unveiled by Behaviour Interactive. The Charred Chucky set includes a distinctive Chucky head and a wardrobe that reflects his charred appearance. Additionally, it seems this set comes with a new weapon for Chucky to wield as a cosmetic melee option.
“You know a toy is top quality when it can survive a fire, and The Good Guy – Chucky is living proof,” an introduction to this new cosmetic explained. “Sure, the flames may cause a bit of mild bubbling, but doesn’t that just add character? And don’t worry about that burnt plastic smell – no, that’s not a hint of flesh, you’re imagining that. Dead by Daylight is thrilled to announce the return of the Friends ‘Til The End Collection, which brings an iconic Charred Chucky Outfit into The Fog. Chucky fans, this one is for you!”
The Friends ‘Til The End Collection refers to the initial lineup of Chucky cosmetics, specifically the Back From the Dead and Good Gal skins. This latest addition, the Charred Chucky skin, is a brand new creation, but it still falls under the same Chucky collection as its predecessors.
In his numerous appearances, Chucky has often been set alight; however, this latest character skin seems to be a nod towards the “Chucky” TV series, as seen in the episode “Just Let Go”. Fans of both “Dead by Daylight” and “Child’s Play” have previously suggested introducing a charred-look Chucky skin based on his appearance in the original movie. Given that the in-game model aligns more closely with the visuals from the TV show, it’s logical that this version would be released first.
