Jeremy Clarkson says Clarkson’s Farm saved him from being devastated by The Grand Tour ending

As a long-time fan of The Grand Tour and a viewer who has grown up with Clarkson, May, and Hammond on our screens, it is bittersweet to bid farewell to this iconic trio. Their camaraderie, wit, and shared passion for everything automotive have been a constant source of entertainment and joy for millions.

Marking a new beginning, the popular series “The Grand Tour” concludes its run with the special episode titled “One For The Road”, which airs on 13th September.

This announcement marks the conclusion not just of the television series that began in 2016, but also the joint screen presence of Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond, who have been a team presenting together since 2003 when James joined them on Top Gear.

Despite his surprise, Clarkson showed a lack of strong emotions for a primary cause – because of Clarkson’s Farm.

In a non-disrespectful manner, I’d like to point out that James appears as emotionally sturdy as a stone. He doesn’t express emotions, hence he remained dry-eyed during filming. On the other hand, Hammond did shed tears.

“I found myself remarkably unaffected, in an odd manner of speaking, as I realized that I could connect with James and Hammond whenever I desired, given their proximity via telephone calls, and I had faith that we would do so again.”

After sufficient travels, I’m exhausted from it all. What I would have felt emotional was bidding farewell to the team, as most of them joined us at the start.

He went on to say: “There exists a snapshot from Kubu Island featuring Russ Edwards (sound specialist), Casper Leaver (camera operator) and Andy Wilman (executive producer). These individuals were part of the original team, and they’re still with us today. I can’t think of another series where this is possible.”

“Our family isn’t perfect, but there’s something about it that I wouldn’t want to lose. Here I was, surrounded by people I had known and collaborated with for 24 years, and I told them, ‘I’ll catch up with all of you on Monday morning,’ since they all work on Clarkson’s Farm.”

“I’m 100 per cent convinced I would have been a lot more emotional without the farm show.”

In upcoming news, Clarkson’s Farm is all set for its fourth season. On the other hand, the last episode of The Grand Tour will unfold in Zimbabwe, with the team embarking on a car adventure involving a Lancia Montecarlo, a Ford Capri 3-litre, and a Triumph Stag.

Although the present version of the show is coming to an end, Hammond hinted that it will continue in some fashion.

He expressed: “The Grand Tour goes on. As hosts, we’ll be taking a break, but Prime is set to carry it forward. I’m really looking forward to relaxing in my seat and watching someone else take over. That’s just fantastic!”
