Dragon Ball Daima Features First Look at the Demon Realm

As a lifelong Dragon Ball fan who’s seen more episodes than I care to admit (and still counting), the upcoming “Dragon Ball Daima” has me buzzing with excitement! The Demon Realm has always been an intriguing part of the Dragon Ball universe, and its integration into the main storyline is long overdue.

Initially, when Dragon Ball Daimaō unveiled its narrative, shonen enthusiasts swiftly linked it to Dragon Ball GT. This is because the Grand Tour portrayed Son Goku transforming into a child and traveling through the galaxy alongside companions who were not typically part of his adventures. To everyone’s surprise, Akira Toriyama’s anime series has disclosed that a significant aspect of the sequel to Dragon Ball Z will be the Realm of Demons. For quite some time, this alternate dimension has been a key element in the spin-off series, Dragon Ball Heroes. In an unexpected turn, new characters from the dimension – both allies and adversaries to the Z-Fighters – are set to appear in the anime adaptation

In the original tale of Dragon Ball Z, the Demon Realm didn’t feature, but it became significant during the Majin Buu Saga due to a specific character. This otherworldly place is where Dabura, a villain serving under Babidi, originated and held a high position in the realm. His power level was comparable to that of Super Saiyan 2. Eventually, he met his end at the hands of Majin Buu once the latter had been awakened and never reappeared in the main series. Dabura did show up in Dragon Ball Heroes, leaving us curious if he’ll resurface in Daima

Dragon Ball’s Demon Dimension

In this fresh anime journey, Son Goku is accompanied by Kaioshin, and it appears he’s receiving assistance from two denizens of the Demon Realm: a newcomer named Glorio and the masked Majin, now identified as a young girl called Panzy. Fortunately, even in his smaller form, Goku showcases in the recent trailer that he can still undergo a Super Saiyan transformation. Feel free to watch the latest series trailer below

Fans of anime can rejoice as they won’t have to hold their breath for much longer before the Z-Fighters reappear on TV screens. The premiere episode of the show is scheduled for October 11th, but it remains undecided which platform will broadcast it in North America – dubbed as Daima. Given the immense popularity of the Dragon Ball series in North America, there’s a strong possibility that Mini Goku will make his way to the Western screens
