As a veteran gamer who vividly remembers the days of the original PlayStation and the magical world it introduced me to through Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, I must say that Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions has truly brought back nostalgic feelings with its throwback to the iconic PS1 Hagrid.
Previously, Hogwarts Legacy rekindled interest in video games based within the Wizarding World, while this week’s release of Quidditch Champions offers players a chance to immerse themselves in the sport that had been previously overlooked
And it’s also providing something else that wasn’t in Hogwarts Legacy. Or rather, someone.
The beloved character known for his large stature and greenhouse tending skills couldn’t have been present in the storyline of Legacy since it takes place prior to his birth. However, as Harry points out at the end of the Chamber of Secrets movie, “Hogwarts just isn’t Hogwarts without you, Hagrid.”
Besides the fact that Hagrid will be featured in Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions, it’s also worth noting that a particular iteration of him will reappear
