As a seasoned traveler and adventurer, I’ve encountered numerous artifacts across Teyvat, but none quite like Mualani’s. The Obsidian Codex, Heart of Depth, and the Marechaussee Hunter set are unique pieces that can significantly enhance Mualani’s potential as a main DPS character.
Mualani functions as a Hydro DMG vendor with exceptional agility. In her Elemental Skill activation, she transitions into the Nightsoul’s Blessing state and employs her surfboard to move rapidly until her Nightsoul points run out. If these points aren’t sufficient, she will utilize Phlogiston to sustain this state

Elemental Skill: Surfshark Wavebreaker
With her newfound ability to ride the waves like a pro, Mualani can surf anytime, anywhere. After utilizing this talent, Mualani will gain 60 nightsoul points and enter the Nightsoul’s tranquil state
Maintain using Nightsoul energy points for Mualani’s Grace. Once these points run out or the ability is utilized again, Mualani’s Grace will expire. This ongoing effect possesses the following characteristics:

- Mualani mounts her Sharky Surfboard, increasing Mualani’s Movement SPD and interruption resistance. Mualani can move on water and liquid Phlogiston while this state is active, and she will take no DMG from the latter.
- Normal Attacks will be converted to Sharky’s Bites, dealing Nightsoul-aligned Hydro DMG based on Mualani’s Max HP. Sharky’s Bites can be used in mid-air. DMG dealt this way is considered Normal Attack DMG.
- When she makes contact with opponents in this state, Mualani applies “Marked as Prey” to them and gains 1 Wave Momentum stack. Max 3 stacks. 1 stack can be gained from the same opponent every 0.7s.
When Mualani employs Sharky’s Bite, the damage she inflicts is amplified by the number of Wave Momentum accumulations she has. Once she reaches 3 stacks, a standard attack will activate Sharky’s Surging Bite instead, further boosting her damage output and eliminating all her stacks in the process

Launches a missile known as the “Super Shark,” which homes in on enemies and inflicts Area of Effect (AoE) Hydro damage aligned with Mualani’s maximum health, drawing from her vitality

In the game Natlan, Sharky’s Elemental Skill can generate up to three Momentum Wave stacks in one use due to the Phlogiston bar. If there are numerous enemies or area-of-effect (AoE) enemies, Character Level 0 Mualani might be able to achieve four sets of three Momentum Waves. Only Character Level 2 Mualani can generate five sets of three Momentum Waves with AoE enemies
To maximize Mualani’s damage, it’s best to first utilize the abilities of your supporting characters. After that, switch over to Mualani and activate her Skill. This energy restoration effect can be triggered only once every 12 seconds
