As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I must admit that the success of Black Myth: Wukong has been nothing short of breathtaking. With its immersive gameplay and captivating Chinese mythology, it’s no wonder Game Science sold 18 million copies in just two weeks!
Game Science’s title, “Black Myth: Wukong,” has been exceptionally popular, managing to sell a staggering 18 million copies within just two weeks. It appears that the developer aims to repeat this triumph, as Daniel Wu from Hero Games revealed to Bloomberg that an expansion is being developed
Here’s a brief overview of the characters:
More information about the expansion is still underway, and it might take some time before we get a clear picture. Hints (from IGN) suggested that Game Science was planning to delve deeper into the Black Myth universe with potential new titles when the first trailer dropped in 2020. Whether these could be sequels or part of the expansion is yet to be determined
For now, Game Science hints at the possibility of introducing “in-game purchases that don’t give an unfair advantage to those who pay” without any official announcements yet. They are also working hard on perfecting the Xbox Series X/S version, which has experienced a delay due to additional optimization requirements. Keep an eye out for further updates in the meantime
