Kate Middleton is shouting out a new colleague.
Though the Princess of Wales has mainly avoided public attention following her announcement about undergoing cancer treatment this year, she took to social media to offer warm congratulations to the newly appointed UK’s Chief Scout, Dwayne Fields.
Kate posted on their Instagram Stories on September 6th that they are thrilled to introduce @dwaynefields as the latest UK Chief Scout. She praised The Scouts for being an exceptional organization that imparts #SkillsForLife and significantly impacts young people throughout the nation.
She added, “Looking forward to working with you! C.”
In September 5th, Dwayne, a TV host and adventurer who made history by being the first Black British individual to reach the North Pole in 2010, took over the position of the UK’s Chief Scout from Bear Grylls.
Dwayne mentioned that he joined the Scouts when he was 7 years old, in a video posted on both his and the organization’s Instagram. He feels incredibly fortunate because he’s had the opportunity to lead young people on trips all over the globe, but it’s in the local Scout groups and headquarters across this nation where Scouting truly thrives.
In a continuation of his remarks, Dwayne, being the 11th Chief Scout of the UK, expressed, “I am committed to aiding every community across the nation in mastering essential life skills. I’m eagerly anticipating the start of this journey.
Kate’s communication to Dwayne arrives during her gradual re-emergence into the public eye, having taken a break from public responsibilities post-abdominal operation in January and later revealing her cancer treatment in March.
Over the years, Kate has come across Bear on several occasions. Since sharing in a video uploaded in March that she’s receiving cancer treatment, she’s mostly avoided the limelight.
She has attended several public events, one of which was in late August when she, along with William and their eldest son, Prince George (aged 11), joined other royal family members at a church gathering close to King Charles III’s Balmoral estate.
A few days past, the Prince and Princess of Wales conveyed a heartening message to the potential participants of the 2024 British Paralympic Games, as they eagerly awaited the grand opening ceremony in Paris.

Kate recently communicated with Dwayne, a message sent during her gradual re-emergence into the public eye. This transition follows her decision to step away from public duties post-abdominal surgery in January, followed by her announcement of undergoing cancer treatment in March.
As a devoted admirer, I, for one, have had the privilege of crossing paths with the extraordinary Bear on several occasions throughout the years. Yet, ever since sharing in March about my ongoing cancer battle through a heartfelt video, I’ve chosen to step back from the limelight and focus on my health and well-being.
She’s taken part in several public events, one of which was in late August when she, along with William and their eldest son, Prince George (who is 11 years old), attended a family gathering at a church near the Balmoral estate belonging to King Charles III.
A few days on, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge offered words of encouragement to the British Paralympic team prior to the grand opening ceremony in Paris for the 2024 games.
