As a lifestyle expert and someone who has navigated their own personal struggles, I deeply admire Stassi Schroeder for her bravery in opening up about her dark past and using it as a tool to shape a better future for herself and her children. Her willingness to confront her demons head-on and share her experiences honestly is not only commendable but also incredibly empowering.

Stassi Schroeder is opening up on how her dark past is affecting her future.
Previously, the ex-cast member of “Vanderpump Rules” discussed the reactions of her 3-year-old daughter Hartford when she notices scars from self-harm on her mother’s body. This is a result of sharing a life with husband Beau Clark.
In a conversation with Bustle, Schroeder explained, “When I see myself without clothes, Hartford might point out a small scar and say, ‘Mommy, ow!’ I find myself thinking, ‘Oh dear, that feels uncomfortable. How will I explain to her that this is something I decided for myself?’
Still, the 36-year-old—who is also mom to 12-month-old son Messer—detailed why she was committing to being open about the sensitive topic.
She went on to say, ‘It seems like a hidden truth, and I dislike secrets.’ I believe one reason for my actions – podcasting, being open – is this sensation of: ‘I’m liberated. Everyone knows my business. I don’t need to conceal anything.’
In her forthcoming memoir titled “You Can’t Have It All“, Schroeder will delve deeper into her battles with self-mutilation, thoughts of suicide, and addiction to Adderall. Notably, she chose to reveal these personal struggles for the sake of her kids.
One concern that frequently crosses my mind is: “What topics might my children discuss with their therapists, similar to how I reflect on my own parents?” she expressed to Bustle. “The only thought that comes to mind about potential grievances they may harbor is that I exposed them publicly.
Furthermore, Schroeder also ponders over the opposite perspective, expressing, “In 18 years’ time, they might ask, ‘Why didn’t you tell me sooner?’
Following her departure from Vanderpump Rules, when she was dismissed along with Kristen Doute in 2020 due to a racist incident, Stassi Schroeder realized that she wasn’t finished with reality TV entirely. Lately, she has unveiled plans for an upcoming docu-comedy series called Stassi Says, which she mentioned would provide a more suitable setting for her children compared to the Bravo series.
She clarified, “I prefer not to associate with individuals who act kindly towards me one moment but betray me the next. I wouldn’t want my kids exposed to such behavior or witnessing it.
No matter the fate of her future, Schroeder knows she is better off than her past.
“I’m like a roach—a survivor,” she added. “You can’t get rid of me.”
