In discussing the concluding phase of “Oshi no Ko”, titled “Reaching for the Stars and Dreams”, Akasaka expressed concerns about effectively portraying that theme in the comic book version.

In my work on “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War,” I typically made sure each character had a fitting conclusion. However, this time around, I’m not planning to do that. Instead, we are working diligently to present everything we intended to show and resolve all the conflicts. Some aspects may vary from what I discussed with Mengo [Yokoyari].

Continuing the conversation, Yokoyari mentioned they intend to only aid Akasaka during the concluding phase of “Oshi no Ko“. This response was met with agreement: “I’m fine with that. Take all the time you need. Ensure there are no lingering regrets when the tale comes to an end. I can be patient for as long as it takes, and feel free to confide in me if any concerns arise.

How Will Oshi no Ko End?

At this stage, the storyline of “Oshi no Ko” is nearing its concluding phase. Starting from chapter 153, as penned by Akasaka, the narrative has been a rollercoaster ride, packed with surprising twists and turns. However, opinions among “Oshi no Ko” manga readers are divided regarding this recent confession by Akasaka.

As a devoted fan, I must say that Oshi no Ko boasts an impressive lineup of characters, yet unlike Kaguya-sama: Love Is War, Akasaka doesn’t appear to be planning a conclusion for each character. Instead, it seems the narrative will primarily revolve around its main characters, Ruby and Aqua, leaving the fate of others, such as Kana, uncertain at best.
