MCU Heroes Form a New Avengers Team: A.E.R.S.

As a seasoned gamer with years of comic book adventures under my belt, I can confidently say that the latest Avengers announcement has sent shockwaves through the Marvel Universe! With a roster brimming with iconic heroes and fresh faces alike, the Avengers Emergency Response Squad promises to deliver an action-packed, personality-rich experience that will have fans on the edge of their seats.

Call to action for the reformed Avengers: Gather together! Following their victory over the vampire Varnae in July’s Blood Hunt finale with assistance from Blade’s daughter and the Sorcerer Supreme Doom, Steve Rogers is now gathering a new lineup of Avengers to face a Marvel Universe in peril. The team consists of: Shang-Chi, Photon, Wasp, Hawkeye (Clint Barton), She-Hulk, Wonder Man, Hercules, Lightning, Night Thrasher, and Lightspeed (Julie Power from the Future Foundation).

Starting September 11th, I’m excited for the release of “Avengers Assemble” #1 penned by Steve Orlando (of “Scarlet Witch”) and illustrated by Cory Smith (known for his work on “Wolverine”). We find ourselves back at Avengers Mansion in New York City where Captain America’s A.E.R.S. is dealing with its first crisis: Sin, the Red Skull’s daughter, who has acquired the sacred death mask of Erida, the Olympian Goddess of Hate. In 2015’s “Uncanny Avengers Annual” #1, Cap’s Unity Squad and Agatha Harkness, Ghost Dancer, and the Emerald Warlock had successfully sent Hatred back to the depths of hell. Let’s see how our heroes tackle this new challenge!

Orlando enthusiastically declared that now is an exceptional moment to gather, as he spoke about the Avengers Assemble spinoff series. This series boasts artwork by Marcelo Ferreira (Moon Knight: City of the Dead), Scot Eaton (Cable), and Valentina Pinti (Blade). Avengers Assemble is bringing together a formidable lineup of classic Avengers at the Mansion, along with the timeless storytelling reminiscent of comic books. This team consists of both iconic figures and newcomers, but the icons take center stage! Each issue will contain an entire story, compressed into just twenty pages, making for a captivating read every time!

The very first comic book I ever purchased was the West Coast Avengers. To be involved with a revival that emphasizes character depth and action-packed scenes is not just exciting, it’s a privilege.
