EastEnders favourite in danger after Chrissie Watts threat in early iPlayer release

As a dedicated EastEnders fan with years of emotional investment behind each character’s storyline, I must say that yesterday’s episode left me utterly spellbound. The long-awaited face-off between Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) and Chrissie Watts (Tracy-Ann Oberman) was nothing short of dramatic!

For the initial encounter since her imprisonment, Sharon Watts, portrayed by Letitia Dean, and Chrissie Watts, played by Tracy-Ann Oberman, have met in person.

Viewers of EastEnders are undoubtedly familiar with the fate that befall Chrissie, as she served time in prison for the murder of Sharon’s father, Dirty Den.

It’s clear that there’s no affection between them, and since they are neighbors in prison, it was only a matter of time until they faced off in an eagerly awaited confrontation.

The situation arose when Sharon’s curious roommate persistently asked questions, seeking information. She subsequently shared this with Chrissie, mentioning that there’s an individual in the neighboring cell who shares the same last name as hers.

Chrissie wasted no time and went to pay Sharon a visit in a tense scene.

In a surprising turn of events, they discussed their tumultuous past filled with explosions, yet managed to discover shared understanding – Chrisse had taken Den’s life in defense, but struggled emotionally as she held deep affection for him amidst his abusive behavior towards her.

Sharon subtly sympathized deeply, finding herself profoundly moved when contemplating how Keanu had passed away.

Remarkably, Sharon managed to find forgiveness towards Chrissie, appearing to live contentedly despite residing near the man who had taken her father’s life.

However, even though Chrissie gave the impression that the situation held significant importance for her, her behavior shifted dramatically once she exited the room, approaching another inmate with the intention of instructing her to retaliate against Sharon.

Will Sharon survive her week in jail?

EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7:30pm on BBC One and from 6am on BBC iPlayer.
