As someone who has spent countless hours poring over the glossy pages of fashion magazines and attending runway shows virtually, I must say that this year’s New York Fashion Week lineup is nothing short of breathtaking. From the Leftovers alum serving looks in a Ralph Lauren brown suede jacket to the Kissing Booth actress’s chef’s kiss-worthy ensemble at the Ralph Lauren presentation, each celebrity’s style was on point.
It’s a bird, it’s a pom pom—no, it’s JoJo Siwa.
Previously from “Dance Moms”, she created a stir at Christian Cowan’s New York Fashion Week event by entering in a ball-like structure covered with fur.
JoJo’s September 8 runway outfit prominently displayed a black fur-covered ball, with her arms encased inside it. Meanwhile, her legs were visible, showcasing the striking knee-high, green fur boots she was wearing, which added an additional style statement to the ensemble.
As a devoted admirer of unique styles, I’d like to share an intriguing description: the neon boots I donned were more than footwear; they sported creature-like visages, adorned with glowing eyes and a menacing grin. To add to my bold ensemble, I applied vivid green eye shadow and styled my hair in a high ponytail.
In simpler terms, JoJo revealed to TopMob News that the inspiration behind the complete circle design was a Furby and, more specifically, the black puffle character from Club Penguin.
The eye-catching look is only one of the many colorful, bold looks JoJo has favored over the years. In fact, she isn’t ready to let go of any of her iconic looks.
The ‘Karma’ singer revealed to TopMob that everything they’ve ever worn for public appearances, such as music videos and performances, is stored in an archive. They have kept all of these items since they were nine years old, from their TV appearances. It’s a vast collection that needs organizing someday.
She continued, “But it’s so sentimental. We can’t.”
In the whirlwind of New York Fashion Week, there’s one individual I can’t help but imagine myself seated beside during a runway spectacle – none other than the radiant Miley Cyrus.
JoJo shared, “She’s such a delight to converse with!” She added, “I’d gladly join Miley for any activity. In fact, the day she invited me to observe one of her rehearsals was the most memorable day of my existence.
Despite sporting a bold new look with her furry appearance being just one example among several recent daring outfits, JoJo appears unfazed by the commotion about her transition.
She had mentioned earlier that “people tend to fear what they’re unfamiliar with.” In simpler terms, novel experiences or things that are new can often induce a sense of fear in individuals.
Rather than dwelling on what she doesn’t have, she’s emphasizing the chances she’s been presented with. She went on to say, “Making art is an extraordinary privilege,” and she feels fortunate to be among those who can produce art worldwide.
