Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Adding Halloween, Terrifier Skins Soon

As a seasoned veteran in the world of Call of Duty, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and trepidation with the arrival of “The Haunting” event in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone. The return of Michael Myers and the debut of Art the Clown from Terrifier movies have me itching to don my combat gear once again, not to mention the addition of characters from Trick ‘r Treat and Smile.

While we eagerly await the potential release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, fans can look forward to fresh Halloween content dropping in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Call of Duty: Warzone real soon. The iconic Michael Myers from the Halloween films will make his comeback in the Call of Duty series this year, and new horror characters like Art the Clown from the Terrifier movies are set to appear for the first time in these games. These characters and others will feature in Call of Duty’s annual “The Haunting” event, slated for Halloween season, though an official start date remains undisclosed at this point.

You can watch the cinematic for the “The Haunting” event in both Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone below, which was shared earlier today before the PS5 Pro news became widespread. Michael Myers is the first character to appear, a figure well-known not only to horror enthusiasts but also Call of Duty players due to the Halloween legend’s past appearances in CoD games. From the trailer, we know he’ll return during “The Haunting,” but whether there are any changes to his character this time is still uncertain.

In the game Call of Duty, Michael Myers from the Halloween series is teaming up with Art the Clown from the Terrifier films, “Sam” from Trick ‘r Treat, and a character from Smile. Given how Call of Duty has managed past collaborations, these characters will likely appear as different skins for various Operators in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone. These collaborative items can be purchased either individually in the in-game store or as bundles. Additionally, these collabs usually include extra accessories like calling cards, weapon variants, and other items, so it’s likely that more characters will be available when the event launches.

Unfortunately for Modern Warfare 3 players, it’s not ideal timing as Black Ops 6 is approaching quickly. Since Modern Warfare 3 content won’t transfer to Black Ops 6, you’ll have to say goodbye to those skins if you decide to switch to the new Black Ops game in October. However, you can continue using them in Warzone, so if you’re a fan of that Call of Duty game, you’re all set!
