Chucky and Pennywise Getting Popcorn Buckets in Honor of Halloween

As a longtime horror enthusiast who’s spent countless nights huddled under blankets during screenings of these iconic characters, I must say, Cinemark Theatres has really outdone themselves this time! The Chucky and Pennywise popcorn buckets are not just a delight for fans like me, but also a testament to the enduring appeal of these terrifying icons.

This Halloween season, it’s not scary to imagine that two famous horror figures – Chucky and Pennywise from “It” – are gracing our popcorn buckets, and surprisingly, they’re not terrifying nightmares! Cinemark Theatres revealed on Tuesday that limited edition souvenir cups and popcorn containers themed around these characters will be up for grabs at select locations. For $15 per cup (with same-day refills included), you can own a Chucky-themed souvenir cup, or splurge $29.99 on the Pennywise popcorn bucket and $24.99 for the Chucky one, while supplies last.

Hey there, gaming buddy! Guess what? I’ve got some thrilling news for you horror fans out there! You can now get your hands on Chucky and Pennywise souvenir cups at certain cinemas! Not only that, but we’ve also got some popcorn heads to complete the creepy collection. But remember, these terrifying treasures are limited, so grab ’em while you can before they disappear!

These popcorn containers stand out from the popular, trending ones we’ve seen lately for new movie releases, such as the rough-edged Deadpool & Wolverine bucket or the Dune: Part Two viral version. What makes these unique is that they are realistic “popcorn head” designs modeled after Pennywise and Chucky – busts that resemble their characters. Interestingly, despite their appearance, they aren’t particularly frightening unless you’re already acquainted with the characters. Initial reactions from fans have been positive, with horror enthusiasts and collectors excited to add them to their collections.

This Halloween season, neither Pennywise nor Chucky are starring in new films. However, “Bride of Chucky” will be re-released closer to Halloween at Cinemark. Pennywise is set to return next year in the HBO prequel series, “Welcome to Derry,” which is scheduled for 2025. Meanwhile, Chucky and Pennywise aren’t alone; Art the Clown from the “Terrifier” franchise will also have his own popcorn bucket this Halloween. This is in anticipation of “Terrifier 3” hitting theaters on October 11th. The popcorn bucket, shaped like Art the Clown’s head, was revealed by director Damien Leone on social media. While the bucket itself isn’t particularly scary, the accompanying video might give you chills. The “Terrifier” bucket will soon be available for pre-order at AMC Theatres, Regal, and Cinemark.

As a gamer, I can’t wait for me to dive into Terrifier 3, where Art the Clown (David Howard Thornton) is all set to wreak havoc once again on the tranquil residents of Miles County as they unwind on Christmas Eve. On another note, the series Welcome to Derry is a prequel to Stephen King’s It and takes place in the eerie town of Derry, Maine, where Pennywise has been causing nightmares for generations. This series unfolds decades before the events of It, setting the stage in the 1950s to delve into the bizarre occurrences that transpired in the town prior to the story we’re already familiar with. As for Chucky, fans are eagerly anticipating a fourth season of his USA/SYFY series, but in the meantime, they can catch him live at Halloween Horror Nights, where he’s hosting Late Night With Chucky on stage.

The Chucky and Pennywise popcorn vessels will be available at Cinemark while supplies last.
