Sakamoto Days Cliffhanger Finally Introduces A New Psychic

As a seasoned gamer with a hearty appetite for adventure and intrigue, I find myself utterly captivated by the latest twist in “Sakamoto Days“. The introduction of a new psychic ability user, Atari, has certainly added an exciting layer to the ongoing storyline.

As a gamer immersed in the world of Sakamoto Days, I’m pumped about this fresh training saga that’s just taken off! The climactic end of the latest chapter has added an extra layer of mystery as we meet a new character who wields psychic abilities. Taro Sakamoto and the gang are gearing up for a fierce showdown against the JAA, and they’ve begun honing their skills in various ways to tackle their deadliest assassins yet. However, it’s become clear over recent chapters that we can’t all follow the same training regimen because each of us possesses unique abilities and skills.

Previously, Shin and Heisuke were honing their skills alongside Kindaka, but they encountered a plateau in terms of progress. Although Shin possesses physical prowess comparable to some deadly assassins, his unique mind-reading abilities set him apart from the others. However, since his ESP talents couldn’t match his physical growth, Shin understood that the key to training was finding an instructor who could help him maximize his powers more effectively. Fortunately, there is a psychic within the JAA capable of this, but she is currently detained deep within their prison.

Sakamoto Days: Shin Seeks Out a Psychic

Previously in Sakamoto Days, Kindaka and Nagumo had shared that due to Shin reaching his physical limits, it would be more beneficial for him to focus on enhancing his ESP abilities instead. Later, Nagumo disclosed the existence of another individual within the JAA who possesses psychic powers; this person is a fortune teller. Their predictions were said to be 100% accurate, and approximately 80% of the JAA’s decisions were made based on this fortune teller’s insights. Few members of the organization are aware of this fortune teller’s existence, as it is kept secret to shield the organization from knowledge that their decision-making involves psychic abilities. However, this psychic was ultimately deceived by others within the organization.

Due to some incorrect predictions by the psychic about X’s actions, the Judicial Authority Agency (JAA) grew suspicious that they might be colluding with a criminal organization. As a result, they imprisoned the psychic in a special JAA prison for assassins who break regulations. This prison lies beneath a castle, and it houses the most dangerous prisoners at its lowest levels. Subsequently, Shin and Heisuke voluntarily surrendered to the JAA and are currently navigating through this prison with the aim of meeting this psychic.

Who Is Atari?

In Chapter 181 of Sakamoto Days, it’s disclosed that the fortune teller is confined on the lowest level of the prison. Consequently, Shin and Heisuke must devise a means to descend to this specific floor. As the chapter concludes, the fortune teller is unveiled in her entirety. Towards the end, a young girl named Atari can be seen refusing both food and video games, foreseeing future scenarios where she won’t find enjoyment in either. Despite guards attempting to persuade her to eat, she remains unfazed because she believes she’ll be released soon regardless.

It appears she believes her savior, or “shining knight,” is approaching, and given her past accuracy, this seems plausible as Shin is currently descending towards her. If Shin manages to connect with Atari and she can enhance his ESP skills, Shin will undoubtedly be a valuable asset to Taro and the group when they face off against the JAA and remnants of X in future battles.
