As a seasoned gamer of the squared circle, I can tell you that last night’s NXT showdown between Oba Femi and Alexander Hammerstone was nothing short of electrifying! The raw power these two titans displayed was a sight to behold, even if my favorite, Tony D’Angelo, came up short again.
Last time Tony D’Angelo battled Oba Femi in the ring, he didn’t manage to defeat him, but The Don of WWE NXT refused to give up. Over the last week, fans have been hinted at a newcomer set to challenge Femi, and tonight we found out that this enigmatic character was none other than TNA sensation Alexander Hammerstone – one of the rare individuals who can match strength with the Champion. Throughout the match, Hammerstone caught Femi off guard multiple times, knocking the Champion to the mat and to the floor. He even executed a Chokeslam, but it wasn’t enough, as Femi regained control with a powerful counterattack and emerged victorious once more.
A Meeting of Powerhouses
In simpler terms, during the match, Hammerstone used a dropkick to bring Femi down, followed by pushing the Champion out of the ring onto the floor. Later, Femi retaliated with a strong forearm strike that sent Hammerstone to the edge of the ring. Femi managed to get Hammerstone back into the ring and delivered an elbow drop. Then, he performed a suplex on Hammerstone and followed up with a charging uppercut. Finally, he executed a hold on Hammerstone.
In the wrestling match, Hammerstone grabbed Femi, only to receive an elbow strike in return. He managed to lift Femi again before being hurled upwards. Hammerstone crashed onto the mat, and despite Femi’s attempt for a pin, he managed to kick out. Hammerstone then grabbed Femi’s foot and avoided an elbow drop. He dodged another charge, which sent Femi crashing into the ringpost instead. Hammerstone retaliated with fierce blows and strikes, eventually knocking Femi unconscious. In response, Hammerstone hoisted Femi for a suplex, sending him flying across the ring.
In an unexpected turn of events, Hammerstone found himself caught by Femi, who executed a powerful chokeslam followed by a cover move. However, Femi managed to kick out, surprising everyone present. A moment later, Hammerstone was suddenly thrown away and Femi repeated the chokeslam, delivering a devastating powerslam in the process. Unfortunately for Hammerstone, this marked the end of his match, leaving The Family visibly displeased with the outcome.
What’s Next For The Family
The dilemma now is how the Family plans to continue their mission of defeating Femi, since The Don won’t let this move be the end of their chess match. Will D’Angelo recruit someone from outside WWE or instead choose an opponent from within Raw and SmackDown? Time will tell, but there are numerous wrestlers in both WWE and TNA who might welcome a chance to face Femi. If anyone manages to defeat him, that would certainly be a significant achievement.
When considering TNA, one figure instantly stands out – it’s none other than the head of The System and previous TNA World Champion, Moose. This weekend, he finds himself in a tough fight against Nic Nemeth for the TNA World Championship at Victory Road. Once that’s over, it might be on Moose’s mind to challenge Femi next and expand The System’s collection of titles with even more gold.
