Strictly Come Dancing Professionals Tour cancelled next year

As a devoted Strictly fan with years of Saturday nights dedicated to this enchanting dance extravaganza, I must confess my heart skipped a beat upon hearing the news that next year’s Professionals Tour will take a break. It has been a highlight of the off-season, a chance to witness the magic of our beloved pros up close and personal.

Before Strictly Come Dancing begins its 20th anniversary season on Saturday, it’s been announced that the Professional Tour, held annually, will be pausing for a year in 2023.

The “Professionals Tour,” distinct from the Live Tour with famous dancers, has been staged before, specifically in the years 2010, 2019, 2022, 2023, and just this past spring, from May to June of 2024.

Typically, it includes the professional dancers from Strictly Come Dancing, but unfortunately, it won’t take place next year because they are unavailable, as many of them are busy touring their own live performances when not engaged in the BBC series.

Information about purchasing tickets for the 2025 Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour will be shared soon, so keep an eye out for updates within the next few weeks.

Just moments before the launch of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing season, a piece of news that initially broke in The Sun has surfaced.

During this coming weekend’s performance, celebrities and their partners will take the stage together, and a joyful dance will be presented to celebrate the comeback of Amy Dowden.

This year’s standout personality, Nick Knowles, has shared insights into his journey so far and discussed the new presence of monitors in the rehearsal spaces, a change implemented specifically for this season.

He mentioned that they are only at the beginning of their journey, which means their connection with the team is essentially their whole experience up to this point.

From my perspective, everything about our dance experience is fantastic. The way we’re cared for by our dance partners and the management is truly exceptional. We have access to psychological support whenever we need it, and physiotherapists to ensure our well-being. In short, it’s a remarkable journey for us.

He mentioned, “To clarify, I haven’t personally been part of it in the past, but I believe it’s crucial for voices to be heard. Fortunately, that has happened, which, in my opinion, makes everything seem acceptable.

On Saturday, the 14th of September, at 7:20 in the evening, the kickoff episode for Strictly Come Dancing 2024 will be broadcast on BBC One and can also be streamed on BBC iPlayer.
