X-Men Star Halle Berry Addresses Marvel Return in Secret Wars

As a long-time fan who has followed Halle Berry‘s illustrious career, I can say that her potential return to the Marvel Universe fills me with unbridled excitement! The thought of Storm gracing our screens once again in the epic saga of Secret Wars is almost too good to be true.

Actress Halle Berry, who played X-Men, hinted at potential future appearances in Avengers: Secret Wars or other Marvel projects. During an interview for Never Let Go with Josh Wilding, Berry suggested that anything could be possible. Although fans anticipated a cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine this summer, Berry’s character Storm did not appear. However, she left the door open, stating, “Maybe you never know. We’ll see what happens, keep your fingers crossed.

As a die-hard fan, I’ve often pondered over the idea that today’s actors can draw immense enthusiasm from reprising iconic roles, just like how Deadpool and Wolverine have made a name for themselves by bringing back characters from the old Fox Marvel Universe. During the build-up to Moonfall, ComicBook posed an intriguing question to the star about potentially revisiting Catwoman or sporting her silver hair once more. Hearing her enthusiastic response, it’s clear she’d jump at the chance!

Berry mentioned during the press event that he’d be happy to return to any of those roles. He adored each character and felt fortunate to have portrayed them in such popular series. In essence, he’d welcome the chance to reprise any of them,” (informal)

What Happened With Deadpool?

Recently, ComicBook had an opportunity to query Halle Berry as to why she didn’t feature in Deadpool and Wolverine. With numerous well-known stars reprising their roles for this year’s Marvel Cinematic Universe blockbuster, one might have expected to see more of the original X-Men cast. However, many of the original X-Men team members were left out during the cameos. At The Union red carpet event, Berry disclosed that Blake Lively had discussed the prospect of resurrecting Storm. Nevertheless, Ryan Reynolds didn’t extend a direct invitation for Berry to reprise her role, hence it didn’t materialize.

Berry clarified that when the topic of a collaboration between Deadpool and Wolverine came up, her response was “No.” Once, at a Marc Jacobs fashion show, Blake Lively inquired about her potential involvement as Storm in Ryan Reynolds’ film. Berry replied she would consider it if offered, but he never extended the invitation.

Essentially, it boiled down to Reynolds deciding to call and gauge everyone’s emotions. As for the Deadpool actors, it could be argued that Marvel Studios might have deliberately encouraged him to delay his call. It seems like Avengers: Secret Wars is an attempt to reunite as many original actors as possible. With time, we might discover more details. For now, let’s keep our fingers crossed that mutants play a significant role in the upcoming conflict.

🌪️ As a die-hard Marvel fan, I can’t help but wonder and hope: Will Storm be returning for “Avengers: Secret Wars”? Keep up with the latest pop culture chat by tuning into @ComicBook on social media! ⚡️🔥💥
