At last, it was during the 2024 MTV VMAs, hosted by Megan Thee Stallion on September 11, that the singer delivered a stunning showstopping performance. This included a series of her most popular hits, presented in an awe-inspiring mid-air spectacle. Moreover, during her acceptance speech for the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, she revealed an unexpected detail about this performance to her fans right off the bat.

In my latest performance, I graced the stage adorning a sculpted nude bodysuit paired with black lace briefs and towering thigh-high boots. Kicking off this 9-minute extravaganza, I soared through the air as I belted out my smash hit “Dark Horse.” My aerial acrobatics continued, gliding effortlessly above my fellow dancers while crooning my interstellar single, “E.T.
Upon landing, the singer famous for “Woman’s World” and mother to 4-year-old Daisy Dove with partner Orlando Bloom maintained her vigor, dashing and gliding over a slanted stage while performing her popular songs such as “Teenage Dream,” “California Gurls,” “I Kissed a Girl,” “Firework,” and many more.
Additionally, she showcased a few tunes from her upcoming album named _143_, such as the provocative song “I’m His, He’s Mine,” which features Doechii. During their performance, they shared an intimate moment on stage together.
Additionally, she performed her latest single, “Lifetimes,” as the finale, with the lively audience syncing their movements to the rhythm of the fast-paced pop tune.
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I’d share that the Grammy-nominated artist was warmly introduced by none other than the swashbuckling star from “Pirates of the Caribbean.” With a tender gesture, he affectionately addressed me by my birth name, Katherine Hudson. After my performance, we shared an intense on-stage embrace, and later in my speech, I expressed my gratitude towards him.
“Thank you to Orlando,” she said, “for keeping me grounded, celebrated, and doing the dishes.”
The cheeky comment was a reference to Perry’s recent Call Her Daddy With Alex Cooper interview, where she shared that acts of service are her love language.
