As a lifestyle expert with years of experience under my belt, I must say that the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards was nothing short of spectacular! The after-parties were where the real magic happened and it was a delight to see some familiar faces shining even brighter than they did on the red carpet.
While the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards has ended, the celebrations are far from over.
Truly, once the curtain falls and the evening’s honorees and victors are announced, that’s when the real celebration kicks off – and boy, was there plenty to toast!
Following the distribution of all Moon Person awards, Taylor Swift turned out to be the night’s top victor, claiming victory in a total of seven categories. This outcome came as no shock considering she was the artist with the highest number of nominations, boasting twelve before the ceremony began.
By incorporating seven additional astronauts into her existing group of 23, the “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” singer now holds the record for the most VMA trophies won by a solo artist. However, Beyoncé is only slightly behind with 26 individual victories; her count increases to 30 when combined with collaborative wins from her husband Jay Z and group Destiny’s Child.
In addition to the main winners, some other significant recipients were recognized. Post Malone bagged five awards for his work on Taylor’s “Fortnight”. The host of the event, Megan Thee Stallion, managed to secure two awards, sharing them with Eminem in the categories of Best Art Direction for “BOA” and Best Trending Video for “Mamushi”. By the end of the night, Eminem took home awards for Best Hip-Hop and Best Visual Effects for “Houdini”.

Notable changes saw Sabrina Carpenter swapping her classic Bob Mackie vintage white gown, last worn by Madonna at the 1991 VMAs, for a pristine white 1996 Gucci mini dress designed by Tom Ford, sourced from Tab Vintage. After the show, she made her way to a post-show party at Electric Lady Studios wearing this new ensemble.
In a similar vein, just as Beyoncé made heads turn on the VMAs red carpet in a striking black-and-yellow plaid gown from Christian Dior’s Resort 2025 line, she switched to a stunning custom Monse dress embellished with a UFO motif for the main event. She carried this theme into the after-party, arriving in an equally mesmerizing UFO-inspired Monse top and skirt.

The “Karma” singer was raring to celebrate in her UFO-themed Monse ensemble following her historic VMAs victory, and it was truly a celebration well-earned. As a dedicated follower, I might share that Sabrina could have been working into the wee hours due to her commitment as a singer. However, there was also an element of celebration late into the night for the same reason. In true fashion, she chose to do so elegantly, draped in a striking 1996 Gucci by Tom Ford lace dress from Tab Vintage – a timeless piece that truly embodied style and class.
The performer known for “Sunflower” has ventured into a country phase, showing up at the post-event bash at Electric Lady Studios donning cowboy boots and a leather jacket.
Instead of wearing his usual attire, the performer of “Bar Song” chose to make an elegant exit for the post-event festivities, sporting a red leather bomber jacket and denim trousers.
Following her triumph as the Best Afrobeats artist at the VMAs, the radiant “Water” vocalist exuded charm in her reworked denim ensemble.
