As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for all things supernatural and a soft spot for witty humor, I can’t help but feel elated at the arrival of the What We Do In The Shadows Clue board game. Having binge-watched the FX series multiple times and even quoting its lines in my daily life, this game promises an immersive experience that seamlessly blends the strategic fun of Clue with the unique charm of the show.
The upcoming sixth and last season of the cherished FX show “What We Do In The Shadows” is set for October 21st. However, you can prolong your stay on Staten Island with characters like Nandor, Laszlo, Nadja, Colin Robinson, and Guillermo as the latest version of Clue board game offers just that. In this edition, you’ll have a chance to embody these characters, even The Guide, in an effort to locate Laszlo’s elusive 100% Witch Skin Hat. Here’s the catch: whoever wins the game will effectively lose it because the one who finds the hat will also have lost it! Enjoy your victory.
Explore various notable settings from the show, such as the Fancy Room and Attic, to uncover who stole the hat (it’s not Simon the Clever, that would be too simple). You’ll also discover where they hid it and what methods they used to conceal it. This What We Do In The Shadows Clue game is perfect for your Halloween party gatherings. You can purchase it immediately from The Op or on Amazon, priced at $44.99. It’s currently in stock and being shipped out now. The game comes with 6 suspect movers, 21 Rumor Cards, and 25 Intrigue Cards.
Dane Chapin, CEO of The Op Games, shared his enthusiasm about launching a fresh version of their game. By blending the strategic gameplay of Clue with the quirky wit and endearing qualities from ‘What We Do in the Shadows’, they’ve designed an offering that will delight both seasoned fans and novice players alike.
What Is What We Do in the Shadows About?
The TV series What We Do in the Shadows focuses on the everyday lives of three classic vampires, Nandor, Laszlo, and Nadja; Colin Robinson, a type of vampire who feeds off energy; and Guillermo, who serves as Nandor’s assistant. The plot revolves around the vampires navigating the modern world, encountering various supernatural creatures, and sometimes even clashing with one another. Meanwhile, Guillermo secretly struggles to uphold his loyalty to Nandor while also dealing with his potentially dangerous family history. The show is based on the 2014 film created by Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi.
According to Mark Proksch, who plays Colin Robinson in the show, he stated during a past interview with egmr.ru that “the writing has consistently been solid”. He also mentioned that executive producer Paul mentioned their approach was around 60-70% improvisation. The actors stick closely to the scripted lines first and then they have room to improvise. For his character, much of what he says needs to feel spontaneous, so often, they provide a starting sentence for him, and he comes up with the rest. Since it must seem natural, these topics are usually subjects he is familiar with, allowing him to draw from his vast pool of trivia. He added that this strong writing applies to everyone else as well. For instance, Natasha might perform a few outstanding takes before venturing off on her own. This method helps maintain the mockumentary style by making it seem like characters are coming up with their dialogue in real-time, giving the illusion of authenticity. However, the majority of what you see on screen has been written.
The final season of What We Do in the Shadows premieres on FX on October 21st.
