Previously featured in video games such as “Marvel Snap” and “Marvel Contest of Champions”, Knull is now poised to take the spotlight as the primary villain in “Venom: The Last Dance“, the third installment in Sony Pictures’ Venom series. The announcement of Knull’s role in “Venom: The Last Dance” took even his creators by surprise, given that they hadn’t expected him to make an appearance in this film.
Artists Ryan Stegman and Donny Cates are the minds behind Knull, a character who left them as surprised as fans when he seemingly made an appearance in the Venom: The Last Dance trailer. In a recent post on X (previously known as Twitter), Stegman humorously shared, “Yes, I did help create Knull. No, I didn’t know until today that he would be featured in Venom: The Last Dance. Yes, I am looking forward to the day when I can finally install that relaxing lazy river moat around my house.” Fans have been quick to join in on the “lazy river moat” joke, referencing the perceived lack of financial compensation for Marvel creators when their creations are adapted into other media.
