WWE Survivor Series: Roman Reigns Confirmed For First Premium Live Event Since WrestleMania 40

As a seasoned gamer of WWE’s thrilling rollercoaster ride for over two decades now, I must say that the return of Roman Reigns has sent a wave of exhilaration coursing through the veins of every wrestling enthusiast out there. The Tribal Chief is back, and he’s stirring up a tempest in the WWE universe with his latest antics.

Roman Reigns, known as the Tribal Chief, recently reappeared in WWE programming at SummerSlam in August. During Cody Rhodes’s WWE Championship fight against Solo Sikoa, he unexpectedly showed up. In the closing moments, Reigns emerged from the sidelines and charged into the ring, attacking his former ally Sikoa with a Superman Punch and a spear. Rhodes secured the victory for himself, eyeing Reigns at ringside as a hint of confusion mixed with suspicion crossed his face. Since then, Reigns has focused all his energy on The Bloodline, assaulting Sikoa and the Tongans in the following SmackDown episode before being overpowered by Jacob Fatu a week later. However, he hasn’t been spotted on WWE TV since that time.

The Head of the Table is coming to WWE Survivor Series.

According to the promotional poster for the WWE Survivor Series, Roman Reigns, a key WWE figure, is scheduled to participate in this fall’s major live event known as the “big four.” The image shows Reigns dressed in his wrestling attire, suggesting he will be in action during the WWE Survivor Series match. Other notable names on the poster include the WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill, Kevin Owens, and Solo Sikoa.

What Will Roman Reigns’s WWE Survivor Series Match Be?

All signs point to The Bloodline Civil War commencing in November.

This week, Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE’s Chief Content Officer, announced that WWE Survivor Series is now known as WWE Survivor Series: War Games for the third year in a row. The premium live event will feature the double cage match again. In fact, Roman Reigns participated in the inaugural WWE main roster War Games Match in 2022, where he and his team, The Bloodline, emerged victorious against the group of Kevin Owens, Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Ridge Holland, and Pete Dunne.

As a gamer, here’s my take on it: This year, I reckon “Reigns” is going to give it another go with “The Bloodline”, but this time they’re squaring off against none other than “The Bloodline”.

Currently, Reigns finds himself at a disadvantage, being outmatched 4-to-1 against Solo Sikoa’s version of the family grouping. Balancing this situation could be achieved by rejoining his initial allies in The Bloodline, Jimmy and Jey Uso, and inviting “Honorary Brother” Sami Zayn to take up the empty spot.

If WWE decides to have a War Games Match featuring Reigns, The Usos, and Zayn against Sikoa, The Tongans, and Jacob Fatu, it’ll be the first time this main roster event doesn’t involve five teams. However, the possibility of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s return could alter that setup. Rumors suggest Johnson will appear at WWE WrestleMania 41 for what he calls the “greatest match ever.” Setting up a potential clash between The Rock and Reigns at WWE Survivor Series could certainly pave the way for such a monumental encounter.

WWE Survivor Series: War Games goes down on Saturday, November 30th.
