36-year-old ex-Philadelphia Eagles player has shared that he and his wife, Kylie Kelce, who lost their dog Winnie in March, have welcomed a new pet into their family – an Irish wolfhound they’ve named Nessie.
Did you get a glimpse of Nessie so far?, Jason inquired from his brother, Travis Kelce, during their September 12th episode on their “New Heights” podcast, about their new puppy.
Travis said, “For about the last five minutes, I’ve been observing a baby wolf following a coyote nearby.
Afterward, Jason beckoned Nessie and asked her to “greet everyone” prior to his younger brother commenting that she was a “very attractive puppy.
Travis, at 34 years old, remarked that the dog appeared incredibly lovable while licking Jason’s face. He then asked, “Does she show as much fiery spirit as Winnie does?
Instead of replying directly to the question regarding his family’s deceased dog, Jason made a humorous comment, saying, “She seems incredibly nice at the moment, but let me tell you, she was quite a handful.
He went on to explain that Nessie is “the most food aggressive dog” they’ve “ever had” and can climb up into their sink, pull dishes out of the dishwasher “with her teeth” and even open doors on her own.
Jason, who retired from the NFL earlier this year, added, “I’m like, ‘What the f–k is this dog?'”
Six months following Kylie’s announcement about the sad demise of their Irish Wolfhound, Winnie, the news about Nessie being introduced to the world surfaced. Kylie is the mother of Wyatt (4), Elliotte (2), and Bennett (12 months), all shared with her partner Jason.
In her Instagram post on March 14, she explained that during high school, she kept an album on her computer titled ‘God’s Gift to Earth,’ which held pictures of Irish Wolfhounds she had found online. Her affection for this breed started at a young age and remained unwavering over the years. This fascination eventually led her to Winnie, who truly met the high expectations set by the breed’s reputation.
Speaking as one who cherished every moment with my extraordinary wolfie companion, Winn, I can confidently say that she surpassed all my dreams and expectations. Today, a piece of my heart has been left behind, yet I find comfort knowing she’s found peace. My love for you, Winn, remains steadfast and unwavering. You will forever hold the title as my first-born child in my heart.
Besides getting a new family pet, Kylie has hinted lately that she and Jason might consider welcoming another child into their family as well.
According to New York Magazine’s The Strategist, they’re passing down clothes originally bought for their eldest daughter to their youngest child now, which means they’ve had many hand-me-downs. They also mentioned that the Hanna Anderson PJs have such longevity that they still have some stored away, ready for potential use if a fourth child arrives.

In October 2023, Wyatt’s fourth birthday was celebrated on the home field of the Philadelphia Eagles. Kylie jokingly posted on Instagram, “We were marking a 4th birthday as the Eagles secured their 4-0 record.
