This innovative comics universe is rooted in the masterpieces of comic greats Michael Turner and Geoff Johns, and will be brought to vivid life by David Maisel, Founding Chairman of Marvel Studios, along with the gifted Aspen Comics crew consisting of J.T. Krul, Alex Konat, Mark Roslan, Peter Steigerwald, and Josh Reed. An Unexpected Crossover

Ekos Vol. 1 Reveals Gorgeous J. Scott Campbell Cover (Exclusive)

On the cover, Ekos Vol. 1 primarily focuses around a character named Grell, initially created by Turner and Johns in 2003 and since then undergoing some enhancements that will be disclosed throughout the storyline. Readers can journey with Grell as he delves into the expansive universe of Ekos and encounters characters familiar to longtime Aspen Comics enthusiasts, such as Aspen from Fathom and Grace from Soulfire. Importantly, these aren’t fleeting appearances, as both characters will join forces with Grell for an unprecedented mission in this series.

Beyond Campbell’s captivating artwork, our Kickstarter campaign promises cover art by Alex Ross, Joe Quesada, Joe Benitez, Francis Manapul, David Mack, Siya Oum, and others. Additionally, we will offer limited edition hardcover and single issue covers as part of the campaign, along with a selection of unique collectibles that are only available to our backers.

One perk of signing up for campaign updates is that you’ll receive a free Ekos digital gift. This gift is inspired by Michael Turner’s iconic variant cover for Civil War #1, which is considered among the finest in the series.

A New World Full of Possibilities

Building upon the artistic legacy of Turner and Johns, and steered by a talented group, there’s quite a buzz surrounding Ekos, which recently made a big splash at San Diego Comic-Con. After being in development for some time, it seems that Ekos is now moving from concept to reality. It appears poised to make an immediate impact when it launches. The campaign goes live on Tuesday, September 17th, and you can take a look at it right here. For more details, the official description of Ekos Volume 1 can be found below.

In the latest development, Ekos presents a fresh sensation named Grell, embarking on an adventure to explore the realm of Ekos. Along his voyage, Grell meets several cherished figures from Michael Turner’s past works, such as Aspen, the star of Fathom, and Grace, the beacon of Soulfire. As they unite with Grell for a joint objective, this is the inaugural instance where these characters have coalesced in the same universe.
