As a die-hard WWE fan who’s seen my fair share of tag teams, I must say, this upcoming match between The Bloodline and the dynamic duo of Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes is shaping up to be an epic showdown. The way these two titans have clashed in the past and now finding themselves on the same side against the formidable Bloodline is a spectacle that I can’t wait to witness.
The first episode of WWE SmackDown on USA Network kicked off and concluded with the powerful group known as The Bloodline. This unexpected alliance, which many hadn’t anticipated, resulted in a thrilling spectacle throughout the show. In the beginning of the episode, Cody Rhodes managed to retain his Undisputed WWE Championship against Solo Sikoa. However, an attack by The Bloodline brought Roman Reigns into the action. This chain of events led Nick Aldis to create a match featuring Reigns, Rhodes, Sikoa, and Jacob Fatu. Although The Bloodline was involved, Rhodes wasn’t, and there was no response from Reigns. By the end of the night, both Reigns and Rhodes put their signatures on the contract, officially confirming the Tag Match for WWE Bad Blood.
The One True Chief
Towards the close of the event, Reigns stepped into the ring alongside Nick Aldis. Upon Roman extending his hand, Aldis handed him a contract. Confused, Reigns gestured again for a microphone, which Aldis provided. For the first time since his comeback, Reigns addressed the audience.
Reigns declared, “Things may transform, but I stay constant. I don’t require him, nor any contract. This is a family affair, this Bloodline business. I don’t need a partner, and absolutely not the assistance of Cody Rhodes. Let me make one thing clear: Regardless of whether I possess my family’s Ula Fala or not, I am the Tribal Chief. And remember, I am not just the first Tribal Chief; I am the sole Tribal Chief. Don’t be mistaken. This ring is mine, this show is mine, and this is my WWE!
Tribal Chief, American Nightmare
In that instant, Rhodes stepped forward and made his way towards the ring to confront Reigns directly. Rhodes declared, “This is your ring, your WWE. Yes, it was. But it isn’t anymore since WrestleMania.” They dropped their microphones, ready for a physical altercation, but then Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu entered the ring. Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa quickly attacked Reigns and Rhodes in the ring. However, Rhodes executed a Cody Cutter on Loa, while Reigns slammed down Tonga.
As a gamer, here’s my take: Circling each other, Reigns and Rhodes stood their ground. But when it came to the crunch, I grabbed the contract and put my signature on it. Sikoa tried to rattle me, taunting that Rhodes didn’t like me and wouldn’t sign the deal. However, Rhodes extended his hand for the contract, and with a hint of frustration evident on my face, I let him have his moment. The match was now officially set in stone.
As a die-hard fan, I must admit that Sikoa and Fatu weren’t exactly jumping for joy about the new team at first, much like how Reigns might not have been overly enthusiastic about needing Rhodes’ assistance. However, come the Bad Blood event, these two teams will square off against each other.
