Dragon Ball Daima Better Give Super Saiyan a Demonic Form

As a lifelong fan of Dragon Ball, I can’t help but feel the excitement building up within me as we approach the release of Dragon Ball Daima this Fall! With the franchise celebrating its 40th anniversary, it’s only fitting that they pull out all the stops and introduce a brand new Super Saiyan form that fits perfectly with the new Demon Realm.

The legendary Dragon Ball franchise is set to unveil an entirely fresh anime series this Fall, and it promises to introduce a never-before-seen Super Saiyan form suitable for the newly introduced Demon Realm. In October, Dragon Ball will be commemorating the 40th anniversary of the late Akira Toriyama’s original manga’s debut in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. To mark this milestone, they are going all out by launching a brand-new anime series. This upcoming series will present an untold story that has never been part of the initial TV anime or manga releases, leaving ample room for exciting new transformations.

In every installment of the Dragon Ball series, a fresh transformation is typically unveiled. It’s plausible that this trend will continue in Dragon Ball Daima. Although the initial hook presents Goku transforming into his cute “Mini” form, there are still many mysteries hidden within Dragon Ball Daima. One of these secrets might involve a new Super Saiyan transformation, ideally one that embodies powerful demonic abilities suitable for the Demon Realm.

Dragon Ball Daima’s New Transformation

Transformations have always played a crucial role in every installment of the Dragon Ball series, ever since Goku first turned into a Great Ape in the original series. The Super Saiyan form was introduced in Dragon Ball Z, and subsequent releases like Dragon Ball GT, Dragon Ball Super, and even Dragon Ball Heroes expanded upon this with forms such as Super Saiyan 4, Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan (and its Ultra versions), and “Evil Saiyan” forms. Looking to these transformations for inspiration, the latest installment in the franchise is delving into the depths of Hell.

In contrast to previous Dragon Ball stories potentially delving into the Demon Realm, the upcoming franchise installment, Dragon Ball Daima, marks a genuine journey into this realm and its hidden mysteries. The new anime series hints at an intriguing plot twist where Goku and his companions are reduced to miniature forms due to a perplexing conspiracy. In response, Goku and the Supreme Kai venture into the Demon Realm to uncover the origins of this enigma. This adventure is expected to introduce numerous new characters as allies and adversaries within this unexplored territory.

Why Should It Be Demonic Power?

As a die-hard fan, I’m excited about how Dragon Ball Super paved the way for more, and Dragon Ball Daimao seems poised to delve even deeper into this concept. Even though it appears that this upcoming series might take place before the events of Dragon Ball Super, with Beerus and Whis mysteriously absent, it offers a fantastic opportunity to further explore the realms of potential powers yet untapped.

In this new transformation, instead of Goku gaining the ability to control and manipulate God Ki due to his proximity to divine beings, it could be that he develops and controls a new demonic ki as he interacts more with demons and fearsome creatures within the Demon Realm.

If Goku gains access to an unprecedented level of power due to his encounter with demonic energy within the Demon Realm, it’s likely he’ll unveil a fresh Super Saiyan transformation. As for its appearance, there’s a possibility it might manifest as an intense, uncontrolled berserk state because of the potential influence of this dark power. There’s a similar precedent in Super Dragon Ball Heroes, where the Evil Saiyan aura and berserk power bear some resemblance to what this new form could be like.

What Does Dragon Ball’s Next Super Saiyan Form Look Like?

In simpler terms, the new transformation for Goku in “Dragon Ball Daima” might resemble the Super Saiyan 4 form from Dragon Ball GT. This transformation could potentially grant Goku an unprecedented level of power that he’d initially struggle to control. The process of mastering this new form would involve Goku learning to fully harness this immense power. Additionally, by introducing this Super Saiyan Demon form, the creators might be subtly hinting at its inclusion in the franchise’s official canon.

In a potential twist for the series, Goku might adopt a new, demonic-beastly form to escape Mini form, reminiscent of his Kid self in Dragon Ball GT. This could also be Toriyama’s fully developed concept of what Super Saiyan 4 would look like. Regardless, we can expect a brand new Super Saiyan variant in Dragon Ball Daima, and considering the franchise’s recent focus on gods and angels, a demonic version of this power could bring a fresh and exciting change. So instead of Super Saiyan God, it seems we’ll be seeing Super Saiyan Demon this time around.

Dragon Ball Daima will be streaming with Crunchyroll beginning on October 11th.
