Studio Ghibli President Shares Hayao Miyazaki’s Struggles: “He Clearly Loses Motivation”

On March 17, 2026, Studio Ghibli executives Toshio Suzuki and Goro Miyazaki gave a first look at a new project celebrating Hayao Miyazaki’s work. Called “The Panorama Box,” it will include fresh illustrations from his most famous films and be shown at Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse starting July 8, 2026. This display is part of the larger exhibition at the Studio Ghibli theme park in Nagakute, Japan. During the announcement, Suzuki also provided an update on Miyazaki’s health and progress on his current film.
