Cardi B Defends Going Back to the Gym One Week After Giving Birth

As a die-hard Cardi B fan who has followed her meteoric rise to stardom, I can’t help but admire her strength and resilience. Her journey from the Bronx to the top of the music industry is nothing short of inspiring. After three beautiful babies, she continues to defy expectations and silence critics with her unstoppable work ethic and determination.

Cardi B wants fans to be careful with the criticism.

Approximately a week and a half following the birth of her third child with her separated spouse, Offset, the “WAP” musician is addressing remarks that arose after she posted a video of herself performing 30 minutes of cardio exercise on a StairMaster.

She posted that her workout was late at night, it didn’t involve any heavy weights or machines, only the stair climber until the following week.

She warned gently, “Keep in mind, this is my third child… With my previous two infants, I was still on bed rest during the first week after delivery.

Currently, Cardi B, mother of 6-year-old Kulture and 2-year-old Wave (with Offset), has shared the reasons behind restarting her fitness regimen.

In response to someone discussing the pressure on women to quickly return to their pre-pregnancy state, the 31-year-old stated that her third pregnancy and recovery were unlike her first two. She’s avoiding strenuous activities like heavy lifting or muscle straining exercises, instead focusing on cardio workouts. To combat postpartum depression, she keeps herself mentally engaged by working and staying active.

The Grammy winner commented further, stating that critics had criticized her for putting on 15 pounds during her fifth month of pregnancy. She found it ironic that they now seemed concerned about pressure when before they had accused her of being pregnant as an excuse not to work. Now that she continues to work, they have something else to say, she added. Though their comments are personal to her, she finds strength in the situation because, regardless, they will always find something to criticize.

To put it simply, I’ve never been one to worry much about post-pregnancy body changes. However, this time around, something has shifted – I find myself brimming with energy, eager to tackle each and every goal on my list as if I have just a single day left! It’s an exhilarating feeling.

On September 7th, Cardi B and Offset became parents, offering a peek into the delivery room through exclusive footage, but choosing to keep their newborn’s face and name private.

The rapper known as “Bongos” revealed her pregnancy, only hours following the filing for divorce from a 32-year-old fellow rapper, on August 1. She shared the news with an Instagram post featuring a baby bump, accompanied by the caption: “Each ending marks the start of something new! I am incredibly grateful for this chapter we’ve shared. You have filled my life with so much love, vitality, and most importantly, rekindled my strength! You reminded me that I can achieve everything!
