FC 25 Season 1: Start date and what to expect

As a seasoned gamer with over three decades under my belt, I can confidently say that the football simulation landscape has seen some significant shifts in recent years, and EA Sports FC 25 is set to make another splash. With Seasons being introduced across all modes, it’s clear that EA is aiming to create a more cohesive and engaging experience for players.

Right now, football enthusiasm is at its peak, as a new season kicks off and the release of EA Sports FC 25 approaches.

Among the major updates in the football simulator, you’ll now find a fresh feature called Seasons. This addition lets players accumulate numerous rewards either by engaging in gameplay or by accomplishing various tasks.

In an effort to replicate the ongoing appeal of Fortnite through its recurring themed events, FC 25 distinguishes itself by allowing progress to be carried over in all game modes, including Career, Ultimate Team, and Clubs.

We’ve collected all the available information about Seasons in EA Sports FC 25, and here’s a sneak peek at what you can expect and the rewards you might earn when it officially launches.

When does FC 25 Season 1 start?

Starting from the 20th of September, FC 25 Season 1 will debut as an early access release for players who purchase the EA Sports FC 25 Ultimate Edition.

On the worldwide release date of the game, which is on September 27, 2024, it will be accessible to anyone joining in at that time.

Both a complimentary and premium season pass option will be provided; at the moment, we’re still figuring out how these passes will influence each upcoming season.

The Season Pass pricing has yet to be officially confirmed, either. We’re expecting around the £15 mark, though.

What to expect from FC 25 Season 1

EA has unveiled numerous specifics about the upcoming first season of FC 25, dubbed “Total Rush,” where incentives will be shared across Ultimate Team, Clubs, and Career Mode.

I’m advocating that the initial season will span over six weeks, where participants are gradually moving forward towards identifying the inaugural Total Rush Quartet – a group of four individuals who perfectly embody the given theme.

According to Gordon Farquhar, the product manager at EA Sports FC, we aim to make Seasons accessible to a larger player base by incorporating them into modes other than Football Ultimate Team. This will include Career Mode and Clubs, so players can reap rewards for their seasonal advancements in each Season,” (in a blog post).

In the world of Football Ultimate Team, this upcoming season might seem familiar, as our aim is to maintain the same high-quality rewards for our players, while simultaneously presenting fresh reward options tailored for Career Mode enthusiasts and club supporters.

Farquhar stated, “We understand there are diverse strategies among players when they engage in this game. Our FC Seasons aim to recognize and compensate for playing FC 25 according to your unique style, be it focusing on one mode or mixing several.

We aim to ensure that you’re not pressured into playing a game mode that doesn’t appeal to you. It’s all about your comfort and preferences.

The idea behind this is that players won’t be forced to play another mode to earn high-level rewards, instead being able to put their energy towards whatever they enjoy most.

In the same fashion as Experience Points (XP) advanced game seasons in past titles, Season Points (SP) will propel a Football Club (FC) season forward each time objectives are accomplished. These objectives will include both weekly challenges and those themed around the campaign.

Emphasizing social interaction through play and collaboration will be a key aspect, as we prepare to introduce fresh game elements tied to the “Rush” concept.

On October 11th, several well-known individuals are scheduled to attend the Total Rush Campaign, showcasing PlayStyles tailored for miniature team sports.

In the upcoming development, we’ll introduce a fresh idea called “World Tour”. Each Season will center around various themes related to countries or leagues, with Spain being the starting point for this exciting journey.

In Season 1, you’ll have the opportunity to lead your Spanish team in a friendly match called One Nation Live Friendly. (Farquhar outlines the concept)

As a dedicated film enthusiast, I’d always recommend keeping tabs on our weekly features focusing on La Liga, Liga F, and Spanish football stars. These themes will surely add an exciting Spanish flair to your viewing experience!

During the entire season, you’ll have the opportunity to incorporate additional stars from Spanish Leagues like La Liga and Liga F, as well as Squad Foundations, unique Evolutions, and Special Squad Building Challenges into your team.

Further information about the complete blog post will be available when it’s launched, which you can find on Effective Altruism’s official site.

On the 27th of September, 2024, EA Sports FC 25 will be released for play on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Microsoft Windows.
