Kristin Cavallari Cries Over 12-Year-Old Son’s Scary Football Incident

As a dedicated follower of Kristin Cavallari‘s journey, I can truly empathize with her emotional struggle regarding her son Camden playing tackle football. Having been a parent for some time now, I know all too well about the heart-wrenching experience of seeing our little ones face challenges and potential harm.

Kristin Cavallari isn’t holding back.

The mom of three openly discussed the challenging ordeal she faced when permitting her 12-year-old son Camden, along with her ex-husband Jay Cutler, to participate in contact football during middle school.

37-year-old she expressed, during the September 17th episode of her podcast “Let’s Be Honest”, that it had been incredibly emotional. She even shed tears the night prior to Camden’s first game.

The former star of “Very Cavallari” and mother to Jaxon, aged 10, and Saylor, 8, with Jay, mentioned that her son plays the quarterback position on the team. She pointed out that the opponents they’re facing are seventh and eighth graders who are reportedly over 6 feet tall.

It wasn’t until Camden’s third match that he got his initial hits, which moved him to tears – a moment that stirred emotion for the alumnus of Laguna Beach.

She remarked, “He suffered some very harsh blows – let me clarify, I’m not tearing up here, but it was a difficult sight to behold. He collided and tumbled, falling hard. As a mother, the fear that crossed his face after the initial impact was palpable, and that was what truly upset me.

Wiping away tears, the Uncommon James founder was surprised by her clear emotion.

Gosh, I truly believed I’d dealt with everything related to this situation,” she expressed. “The thought of him being frightened out there is just devastating. It’s more than just the fear for his physical safety; I don’t want him to be injured. And it was one of the toughest moments I’ve ever had to endure when he got hit a few times. Seeing my child get hurt is exceptionally difficult.

Despite Kristin mentioning that the quarterback position tends to be one of the safer spots on the team, she disclosed that her son Jaxon harbors less secure aspirations in the realm of football as well.

Kristin mentioned that he had expressed a desire to become a wide receiver, but she responded negatively. She added, ‘Football and other sports offer numerous benefits for young boys. It’s just, I’m at a loss as to how to help him.’

Discussing potential family growth with her partner Mark Estes, Kristin has expressed thoughts on the mixed feelings one experiences as a parent.

Parenting is challenging because your children, who are essentially fragments of your heart, are exposed to the harsh realities of the world, such as being hurt or mistreated. Yet, as mothers, our instinct is to shield them. Conversely, when they excel and achieve something remarkable like scoring a touchdown, it brings an indescribable joy and pride.
