The arrival of Battletoads Double Dragon, Big Run, Cosmo Gang the Puzzle, and Kunio-kun no Dodgeball da yo Zen’in Shūgō! feels like a trip down memory lane.
Nintendo has increased its collection of Super NES games available on Nintendo Switch Online. These new additions are accessible for all members of the subscription service, with four more SNES games now part of the library. One of these games is particularly noteworthy.
This is “Battletoads Double Dragon,” a beat ’em up game developed by Rare, though it’s important to note that the NES version isn’t part of this collection, which some might have preferred. Additionally, three more games will be included in this beat ’em up lineup: Jaleco’s arcade racer “Big Run,” Namco’s 1992 puzzle game “Cosmo Gang the Puzzle,” and “Kunio-kun no Dodgeball da yo Zen’in Shūgō!”, a dodgeball title, which is making its debut outside of Japan for the first time since it was originally released in 1993.
Indeed, Nintendo continues its pattern of focusing on lesser-known games for the Nintendo Switch Online library, particularly in the basic tier. However, this recent update brings some intriguing new additions to the service.
