As a seasoned viewer of British comedy, I must say that the return of “The Cleaner” to BBC One is like a warm, comforting hug from an old friend. Having binge-watched every episode of this series twice (and let’s be honest, who hasn’t?), I am thrilled to see Greg Davies back as Paul ‘Wicky’ Wickstead.
The Cleaner is making its comeback on BBC One with a new, laughter-filled episode, and we now have an official confirmation of the release date for Season 3.
On Friday, 4th October at 9:30 PM, you can catch Greg Davies reprising his role as Paul ‘Wicky’ Wickstead, accompanied by an assorted group of special guests, exclusively on BBC One and iPlayer.
In the third season of the series, the professional cleaner, accredited by the state and tasked with erasing all traces of a tragic event, encounters some peculiar individuals, as hinted by the show’s description.
The summary includes accounts from relatives of victims, their employers, neighbors, friends, and on rare occasions, the perpetrators themselves,” (or) “The summary encompasses perspectives from victim’s family members, work associates, local residents, acquaintances, and sometimes even the offenders themselves.
“And because he’s a sociable type, he sometimes gossips more than he cleans…”
The new season features an all-star cast, including the likes of Inside No 9‘s Steve Pemberton and Ghosts star Ben Willbond.
As a film enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that the talented Conleth Hill from Game of Thrones, Sharon Rooney who stole our hearts in My Big Fat Diary, and Gemma Whelan known for her role in Killing Eve are joining this upcoming production, along with many other recognizable faces. Can’t wait to see what they bring to the screen!
Davies said he was “delighted to be back wading around in blood” in season 3.
He added: “We’ve ensured that Wicky encounters peculiar personalities for this series. I can’t wait to don a detective’s outfit and sport an earring, which my nieces think is embarrassingly trendy.
The third season of “The Cleaner” is set to debut on BBC One and iPlayer this coming Friday, 4th October, airing at 9:30 PM. Meanwhile, you can catch up on seasons 1 and 2 right now on BBC iPlayer.
