Dragon Ball Finally Pits Cell Against Frieza in New ‘Sparking Zero’ Clip

As a seasoned Dragon Ball fan with over two decades of following this legendary series, I can confidently say that the anticipated showdown between Frieza and Cell is one battle I’ve eagerly been waiting for since I was just a kid. Growing up with these iconic villains has been an integral part of my childhood, and to finally see them square off against each other in Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero feels like a dream come true.

Among the most iconic antagonists in the series “Dragon Ball Z”, fans often mention Frieza, Cell, and Majin Buu. Although Majin Buu was instrumental in concluding the shonen series, Cell and Frieza played crucial roles in setting it apart with their battles against the Z-Fighters. Although they have never clashed in canon, the upcoming fighting game, “Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero”, is expected to feature a highly anticipated showdown between these two villains. In a recent video, these formidable Z-villains prepare for an eagerly awaited battle by fans of anime.

One primary factor that prevented Frieza from encountering Dr. Gero’s creation initially was because the antagonist had already perished when Cell made his debut. After being killed by Future Trunks, it wasn’t until the continuation series, Dragon Ball Super, that Frieza was revived. Interestingly, this series not only resurrected Frieza but also reintroduced Cell in a new form – “Cell Max”. Unlike being brought back to life, the Red Ribbon Army’s latest faction created “Cell Max”, enhancing Frieza’s power significantly, although at the cost of losing the unique personality that was inherent in Cell.

Frieza Vs. Cell: Who Would Win?

Currently in the storyline of Dragon Ball Super, it’s safe to predict that if Cell were revived, Frieza would likely emerge victorious. As fans of the shonen manga are aware, Frieza found the Hyperbolic Time Chamber which allowed him to condense years of training into a short period, making him the most powerful being in the universe and gaining a new form known as “Black Frieza”. In the latest Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero clip, we witness Frieza and Cell getting ready for battle and exchanging humorous comments about their respective resurrections.

Could Frieza Or Cell Be In Daima?

In the upcoming anime titled “Dragon Ball Daima“, the story unfolds after the demise of Kid Buu but before the commencement of “Dragon Ball Super“. However, this doesn’t imply that the two villains from these anime cannot make an appearance. The Z-Fighters have previously explored the afterlife, as depicted in the anime with Cell and Frieza residing in the underworld. One interesting element highlighted in recent “Daima” trailers is the emergence of the Demon Realm within the main storyline, suggesting a supernatural element that might resurrect deceased adversaries.

When Have Frieza And Cell Met?

As a die-hard Dragon Ball fan, I can’t help but reminisce about some captivating moments from the anime adaptations. One such instance was when Cell and Frieza watched Goku’s battle against Kid Buu in Dragon Ball Z, expressing their awe at his newfound power. Another unforgettable incident is the Super 17 Arc from Dragon Ball GT. The emergence of the new android Super 17 led to the resurrection of several villains, causing chaos in the underworld. In an unexpected twist during the sequel, we even saw a miniature Goku take on Frieza and Cell, swiftly defeating two of Z’s most formidable adversaries. Though there hasn’t been a canon fight between these two villains yet, fellow Dragon Ball enthusiasts and I are still hopeful that their long-awaited brawl may one day unfold in the shonen series’ future.
