Lady Gaga Explains Why She Never Addressed Rumors She's a Man

As a dedicated fan of Lady Gaga for years now, I have witnessed her transform from a shy and talented artist to a fearless and iconic pop sensation. Her journey is nothing short of inspiring, and her resilience against adversity is truly commendable.

Lady Gaga was, in fact, born this way.

38-year-old Stefani Germanotta, known by many as she, has lately addressed a gossip that hindered the launch of her musical journey.

She mentioned on the Netflix series ‘What’s Next? The Future With Bill Gates’, that since she turned 20, false stories have been circulated about her. She added humorously, saying she’s a performer and found it amusing. In her early twenties, there was even a rumor that she was actually a man.

Gaga stated that the rumor persistently trailed her as she journeyed across “various parts of the globe” to publicize her music following a manipulated image being posted online.

Reflecting on numerous conversations I’ve had, I often found myself asked the question, “I’ve heard a speculation that you’re actually a man. Could you share your thoughts on this?

Instead of confirming or denying the rumors at that point, the Grammy award-winning artist chose not to make an official statement and instead kept quiet about the accuracy of the gossip.

She clarified that she didn’t respond to the question because she didn’t identify as a victim from that falsehood. However, she pondered, “What about a child who might be in a similar situation, who might wonder if someone as prominent as myself could feel ashamed?

She added, “In certain instances, addressing a rumor wasn’t beneficial for others, so instead, I aimed to stimulate thought and cause disruption in a different manner. I used false information to generate another wave of disruption.

Additionally, it’s worth noting that although she hasn’t commented on every rumor surrounding her, Lady Gaga provided an apt response in June when fans presumed she could be pregnant and potentially having her first child with partner Michael Polansky.

On her TikTok on June 4th, Gaga wrote, ‘Not expecting a baby,’ and jokingly added, ‘I’m just really emotional while working out.’

In keeping with her unique style, she seized the moment to redirect focus towards issues she considered urgent, by posting a link inviting people to “exercise their right to vote.
