In 2021, four out of the ten most-watched shows on Netflix hailed from the UK. Leading the pack was “Fool Me Once,” which attracted a massive viewership of 107.5 million, closely followed by “Baby Reindeer” with 87.6 million views, “The Gentlemen” garnered 75.9 million views, and “One Day” rounded off the top four with 39.5 million views.
Keep in mind that Fool Me Once had an early launch, as its eight-episode run started on January 1st, 2024, compared to Baby Reindeer which premiered in April.
Noteworthy, well-regarded projects like Bridgerton season 3 (with 92 million views in under two months), along with Avatar: The Last Airbender, Griselda, and American Nightmare, have all earned a spot among the top 10 most popular.
When “Fool Me Once” premiered, it created quite a buzz across the city, with Michelle Keegan stealing the show in her captivating performance. This role of hers even garnered her a nomination at this year’s National Television Awards.
