Days Gone Remaster is in Development – Rumour

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I must say that the news of yet another remastered game has left me feeling a bit jaded. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good remaster as much as the next guy, but it seems like we’re seeing more and more of them these days, and some are less exciting than others.

If you found the rumored remaster of “Horizon Zero Dawn” unappealing, brace yourself for a potentially less enticing announcement. According to journalist Jeff Grubb, not only is there a re-release of “Horizon” in the works, but Sony is also reportedly developing another remaster that he deemed “even less exciting”. It’s speculated that the game could be “Days Gone“.

According to journalist Jordan Middler on Twitter, Sony Bend is reportedly working on a remastered version of their post-apocalyptic open-world action-adventure game. In response to Grub’s earlier claims, Middler tweeted, “If he was upset about his character appearing in Astro Bot, he’ll be even more upset with this,” indicating Days Gone creative director John Garvin’s recent fury over protagonist Deacon St. John being featured as a cameo in the recently released Astro Bot.

Days Gone was initially released for the PS4 in 2019 and later made its way to PC a couple of years after. The title has since sold over 7.3 million units, according to leaked internal Sony documents from last year. Unfortunately, plans for a sequel, Days Gone 2, were turned down by Sony. As a result, the developer, SIE Bend Studio, shifted their focus towards a new project, which will be a live-service game. Additionally, a movie adaptation of Days Gone is also in production.

If he was angry that his character is in Astro Bot, he’s going to lose his mind at this.
